We’re thrilled to hear Chris passed his course, but was tweeting about it appropriate?

Hopefully this will begin another new chapter in Chris Brown‘s life! The 21-year-old singer proved he stuck with his 52-week, court-mandated domestic violence course — assigned to him for assaulting Rihanna, 22, in 2009 — by sharing the completion certificate.

On Dec. 20, Chris tweeted, “I’m done with class,” accompanied by a picture of his diploma. He defended his post the next morning, tweeting “I have enough self respect and decency to be proud of accomplishing this DV class.. Boyz run from there [sic] mistakes.. Men learn from them!!!”

With so many celebrities ducking out of their legal obligations, it’s fantastic that Chris has kept up with his responsibilities and saw this class to the end. But especially after complaining on Twitter on Nov. 28 that fan questions and concerns about the incident are “extremely childish,” perhaps he should focus on the recording of his upcoming album so it sells better than last year’s flop Graffiti.
