There’s more exciting news for newly engaged couple LeAnn Rimes and fiance Eddie Cibrian – an insider tells HollyBaby exclusively that she’s pregnant! “LeAnn thinks she’s expecting,” a source close to the couple says. “They’ve been trying for a while and after many pregnancy tests, she finally got the reading she was hoping for — the test was positive.”

The couple, who met and fell in love last year when they filmed the Lifetime movie Northern Lights (and were both married to other people), announced their engagement yesterday (Dec. 27), and the insider says that they going to make a mad dash to the altar. Can somebody say shotgun wedding?

LeAnn took to Twitter yesterday to share her excitement over Eddie’s holiday proposal. “We are extremely excited and look forward to a beautiful future,” she tweeted. “It’s been an incredible last few days. I was shocked!!! We are blessed, our families are so happy and our lives are filled with love. It was nice to have our little secret for us, our families and friends a few days! So excited to now share the wonderful news with our fans.”

While LeAnn and Eddie’s reps have not responded to HollyBaby‘s requests for comment, it’s clear the singer is more than ready to be a mom. The 28-year-old has already started practicing her parenting duties with 37-year-old Eddie’s two sons, Mason, 7, and Jake, 3. “It’s been an exciting holiday for them,” the source tells HollyBaby. “LeAnn spoiled Eddie’s kids on Christmas and now she can’t wait to spoil her own child. She considers Eddie’s boys her own and treats them like her own.”
LeAnn Rimes joins the PTA even though she’s not even a mom yet!
And when it comes to having a younger brother or sister, the boys seem quite excited. “She asked them if they wanted a brother or a sister and the decision is split,” the insider explains. “Mason wants another brother and Jake wants a sister.”
What an exciting time for LeAnn and Eddie!
