So much for Teen Mom star Amber Portwood, 20, spending her $280,000 salary wisely. She’s been busy hanging out with her new bff — former jail mate Carol Thomas — and blowing through money like it grows on trees. While she’s been going to Colts games and renting limos, has she forgotten about the most important asset of her life — her 2-year-old daughter Leah?
Amber recently approached her ex-baby daddy Gary Shirley‘s mother, Carol Shirley for some help with purchasing necessities for little Leah. Carol tells HollyBaby.com exclusively that Amber asked her to buy Leah some new clothes because the tot had grown out of the ones she already had.”Her clothes are getting kind of tight,” Amber said to Carol. “Can you maybe pick up something?” Maybe if she stopped blowing her money on her wild nights out and selfish shopping sprees, she’d be able to by her growing girl some clothes that fit!

Grandma Shirley stocked up Amber’s house with essentials on Christmas, but has not confirmed if she has filled Amber’s most recent request for a new wardrobe for Leah.

I would rather have old clothes than my own daughter! Whenever I have a child, I would make sure her needs come first. She needs a new pair of shoes? i’m getting it! I need a new pair of shoes?Well, those can wait! I hate parents who dote on themselves!

OMG SHE HAS TO BE THE WORST MOTHER EVER WHO DOSE THAT I HAVE A CHILD AND THEY GROW OUT OF CLOTHES SO FAST AND YOU HAVE TO KEEP BUYING CLOTHES SHE NEEDS TO GROW UP I WISH THAT THEY WOUD TAKE LEAH FROM HER SHE IS A BAD MOTHER IF THE DSS KNOWS THAT SHE IS ABUSIVE AND SHE HAS A NEW GUY EVERY WEEK ALL THEY HAVE TO DO IS WATCH TEEN MOM SHE PUTS HER IN HER CRIB EVERY TIME SHE CRIES IT IS LIKE WATCHING SOME ONE STARVE THERE CHILD AND DOING NOTHING TO HELP

I don’t understand why the state gave the child back to Amber. She’s an unfit mother and will likely never change because she doesn’t want to. She thinks she’s cool, hip and sexy and that’s all that matters to her. When TV is done with her and she’s broke again, living in squaller, she will be a worse mom than she is now. That baby deserves a life with a good family who will love and cherish her. Amber only loves and cherishes herself! I’m afraid Leah she’ll wind up in the trunk of a car like another baby in the news a year ago or so. That mother was crazy as hell too. I always felt bad for the baby’s father. He should lose weight, get fit, find a good paying job and get full custody of baby Leah. That would be the best revenge. She disgusts me.

i agree. sure, you can buy yourself stuff, but the baby should come first. always. whether you make 280,000 or 2800…
