After a long hiatus, our favorite Upper East Siders were back on Gossip Girl — and there were enough schemes and wardrobe changes to make up for the long break on the latest episode, The Kids Are Not All Right! While my second fave step-brother-step-sister-duo (with the first being Kelly Taylor and David Silver, of course), Serena (Blake Lively) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) attempted to take down Lily (Kelly Rutherford) we saw a slew of coats and cocktail dresses in the process.
While Serena has an affinity for revealing minis, she covered up while trying to pose as her mother, Lily, in a Mike Gonzalez coat and Elie Saab dress. When it came to confronting Lily, they only had a few hours to get to her — but luckily she managed to squeeze in a quick outfit change, slipping into a top by Timo Weiland, skirt by Maxime, and coat by Rag & Bone. She accessorized with a Rich Rocks necklace and bag by Michelle Valle. After the cocktail party, Serena decided to swing by the jail (way past visiting hours of course), where she bundled up in her final get-up of the episode, a plaid Burberry coat and boots by Tania Spinelli. Underneath she had on a pair of Rag & Bone jeans, Maxime Simone top, and a Camilla & Marc sweater.
Even though Lily was dealing with conflict in the family, she still managed to look poised and put together in a Luisa Beccaria dress, Siman Tu necklace, and Judith Leiber clutch.
Blair (Leighton Meester), on the other hand, was up to her own scheming and while trying to land a stellar internship, she opted for a jacket and skirt from the Louis Vuitton resort collection paired with a Magaschoni top. She accessorized with a leather Longchamp tote. After her plan was foiled, she must’ve tried to distract from her wrong doings in an exquisite strapless sequin Oscar de la Renta gown from the fall 2010 collection. She covered up in a Philosophy coat and Lanvin bag.
