Did Jenelle Evans Get A New Makeover And A Positive Attitude? She Looks Great!
We’re glad she’s holding baby Jace instead of a cigarette (or a joint)!
We’re so happy to see Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans playing with adorable little Jace! We lost a lot of faith in the young mom, 19, after she was photographed smoking while pumping gas — all while her baby, Jace was sitting in the car! And remember when she was seen smoking something even stronger? Like POT?! But a new picture of her playing outside with her one-year-old son makes us think she’s turning over a new leaf!
Looking fresh-faced and put-together, we’re thrilled to see her playing with Jace and the huge smiles on both of their faces. This is super-healthy behavior!
That said, we also hope Jenelle has curbed her nasty smoking habit, because it can truly put baby Jace at risk for a number of difficulties.
“Smoking is an unhealthy habit for parents and their kids,” Ari Brown, MD, author of the Expecting 411 series tells HollyBaby.com. “Unless you smoke outside your house, then come back inside and change clothes before picking up your little one, your child is breathing your second hand smoke.”
Dr. Brown is well aware of all the health risks that second-hand smoke has on children. “The risk of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) is higher in babies whose mothers smoke,” she explains. “Children whose parents smoke are also more likely to wheeze or have asthma. There’s also research that shows babies of smoking parents experience more colic, sleep less, and have a greater risk of obesity. If you can’t stop for your own health, do it for your child!”
