Justin Bieber Was Robbed For Best New Artist! He Blew The Roof Off Singing At The Grammys!

Biebs runs through a slew of hits with some special guests!

Justin Bieber brought down the house at the 53rd Grammy Awards on Feb. 13 with a bonkers live performance! But it didn’t help him bring home the Best New Artist statue, which went to relative unknown Esperanza Spalding!

The fun started with a video of Justin’s first meeting with Usher four years ago, followed by a brief onstage dialogue between Usher and El Biebz. From there, Justin gave us a brief acoustic taste of “Baby,” followed by a crazy drum interlude. He then channeled Michael Jackson through dance moves in a high-energy rendition of “Never Say Never.” Jaden Smith even stopped by to drop his pint-sized verse!

From there, Usher took over with a redux of his Super Bowl jam “OMG.” Bieber even took the stage near the end of the song to trade lines with Usher!

Our favorite part? When the camera kept panning over Jaden’s parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, who were rapping along to their son’s verse and going crazy with pride. It made them so relatable!

But this doesn’t ease the heartbreak of Biebs being snubbed for his hard work!

If you’d bothered to find out more about Justin Bieber, you would realise that he actually DOES have a lot of natural talent, it’s evident in his childhood videos where he shows this. (and no, I’m not a teenage girl). And if anyone is heavily marketed – Britney, Rhianna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga; you don’t think they’ve found a way to cleverly market themselves to get attention that they wouldn’t otherwise get?

“Robbed” my ass. I wish these idiot Bieber fans would give it a rest already and leave the poor woman alone. People don’t hate Justin Bieber because of him, they hate him because of his stupid 10-year old fans who mindlessly attack people for no logical reason.

He didn’t get robbed. Ask yourself “What’s an artist?”
An artist is one who, through creativity, CREATES art. Who creates Bieber’s art? Cast of thousands ninja dancers — choreographer. Music and lyrics — OTHER songwriters. Clothing — wardrobe designer. Stage and lighting — Stage director.

Exactly what did Justin Bieber create?

His is NOT an artist. Well done Grammy award committee for adhering to ethics and popularity.

I meant, congratulations for adhering to ethics and NOT popularity.

If Justin Bieber ever genuinely creates something ON HIS OWN…I’ll call him an artist. Until then….NO.

Until he does we’ll have to suffer the slings and arrows of empty headed tweenie boppers who couldn’t find North America on a map to save their lives…and 30-something pedophile women.

No offense to Bieber fans but just cause a flock of teen girls (and some middle aged moms) have latched onto this pop star does not make him as talented as these other artists. This is not the MTV awards and this is not based on mass hysteria popularity. Its based on talent. He can sing but he is mostly an entertainer. I hate it when this happens, all these screaming girls latch onto something and all the sudden some seem to think he the best. Like Britney (and I love Britney). Shes a great performer BUT you would NEVER say she sings better then Aguilara (cant spell her name). This is talent, not whos got the best hair or biggest Facebook following. He wasnt “robbed”.

If you think Justin Bieber is just an ‘act’, then you haven’t seen his childhood videos showing that he has real talent. If you want to talk about people being an ‘act’, it’s a lot of the others – Britney, Lady Gaga, etc.

the same thing can be said about britney adn lady gaga and christina aguilera and all of those poppy stars, of course theres a basis for their talent, but you look at any on of their childhood videos its the same thing!

How is Gaga an act when she creates everything she does… She writes all her songs writes the melodies and now she is directing her music videos… Bieber is an act because he just performs what they give him.

It’s best new artist not most popular artist. Bieber isn’t a talented singer. He’s an act.

Florence totally should have one. I think the Grammys were trying to be “different” and tried to create shock value…..Lame.

Gotta agree w/ Joe Cassara…Ms. Spalding did a command performance at the White House not long ago, and Justin….?

Woman has been playing MUSIC before “Beebs” could even TALK…

You’re gonna take a LOTTA nasty responses because o’ THIS one! Can’t believe you’re so SHORT-SIGHTED and LACKING when it came to this category this year!

William Earl:
Buy a clue. Ms. Spalding has more talent in her little pinky than you or “the Beebs” ever will. I’m guessing you think the Olive Garden is haute cuisine…

Robbed? Are you kidding? Bieber’s a semi-talented kid, buffed and polished by a recording studio, post-production and a rack of effects. The first time I saw Esperanza Spalding, I was floored. I came to find out she studied at Berklee College of Music (one of the best modern jazz schools in the country) and even became faculty there at a very young age.

She oozes talent, class, style and grace. Plays string-bass flawlessly, sings beautifully and composes compelling music. True, she probably can’t do a little popping with Will Smith’s kid, but hey, you can’t have everything…

Bieber, who is nothing but a corporate music shill, lost fair and square to a real ARTIST of class and substance. Quit your crying (and comment censorship!)

Oh, please! The category of the award is “Best New ARTIST,” not “Best New Corporate Music Pre-Pubescent Sales Whore.” The only thing robbed from Bieber was his innocence by you Hollywood types. And Spalding is not a “relative unknown” among connoisseurs of really good music. (No wonder you’re clueless!)
