Now more than halfway through its eighth season, One Tree Hill is one of the longest running dramas on The CW — but will it live to see season nine? HollywoodLife.com caught up with star Sophia Bush to get the scoop: “We only have a month left to shoot, and as of now we haven’t heard anything about it coming back,” she told us Feb. 13 at the Max Azria show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC. “So I doubt it.”
As for what’ll happen to the Tree Hill gang in the series’ final episodes, Sophia said she just hopes every character ends up “happy and fulfilled.”
“I’ve enjoyed playing Brooke because she’s gone through every phase in her life where she’s learned to not be fulfilled by other people, and now that she has the confidence as an individual she can be fulfilled by herself,” she told us. “It’s an amazing evolution. She’s got a lot of things worked out, so I’d like to see her get her work back in some sense, because it’s a big part of what defines her.”

This show is honestly so amazing, i’ve never loved a show so much. You guys seriously inspire me I cry almost episode. Please keep doing more seasons !!

Omg I love OTH my cousin got me watching it 3 seasons ago so I’m hoping it will come back we all know the story isn’t done soooo it should come back

I am so excited OTH will be back! Made me nervous watching tonight. Got online right away to see if they were picked up for season 9. Can’t wait! Am so glad to see that Brooke finally got her family.

I love one tree hill. It just have to come back next season. The writing on that show is awesome and the background songs always fit the scene. Amazing show that touches my heart! –

I really think they should come back for another season when I heard that there was only 3 episodes left before the season 8 finale I was upset so I really think they should come back been a really big fan ever since they cam out with their very first season so if it does end were everyone is happy and know where their going in their lives it should end but if it ends were we all shock to see what happens next like in season 7 finale OMG! so I really think they should come back for another season

I think one tree hill deserves to have another season. The way the show is going now i think it has more story to tell. i got my whole family watching it including friends. i cant picture the show ending but when it does i dont want it to be now

I really think there should be another season i even got my dad into this show and he likes it and it just dident end the way it should of been and lucus family should get brought back into the show I want to see there baby how they turned out so we could really have another show

i honestly think there needs to another season of one tree hill to end things well cuz there not that long till the 8th season is over u need more time for the characters u need another season so it can be ended well

I totally agree with Jayde..I’ve watched this show from day one and loosing it would be like loosing family..At the end of the show tonight (Haley & Nates baby Lydia)it said “season finale” NOT “series finale”..so i am a little confused..with only 3 more shows left i just cant see how they can wrap things up with everyone living happily ever after, especially after what happened to Brooke & Julian tonight..I’m sorry but that girl deserves some happiness after 8 seasons and loyal fans want her to go out on a happy note..the fans deserve that..Worst of all is the Lucas & Peyton situation, they need to come back to Tree Hill so we can have some closure..we all waited so long for them to be together & have a baby but when it happened they just drove off into the sunset..before they left everyone was always there for each other..noone showed up at the hospital to see Lydia Bob being born. where is Mouth, Nanny Deb,Taylor, & even Victoria? before Lucas left they were all always together when good or bad things happened..this show started about 2 brothers coming together and if it has to end for good then it should end as it started with the brothers back together again..i say then it go out with a bang and give it a 10yr run..how cool that would be to..so please please please bring it back, once they’re all gone we probably wont see them again..none of them have much of a movie career, House of Wax & The Hitcher i guess most known so where will they all go? I am not ready to say goodbye to the OTH gang <3

Needs to end. Been watching since it premiered – but this season (other then the wedding episode) literally had no point at all. People make out the entire episode, with very small uninteresting things inbetween that. I used to love this show, it had so many cliff hangers and made you want to watch the next week. But this season, ouch what a letdown. Please end it!

Frankly I do not care but there are 9 th season, Sophia has to do other things in his profession, and the other actors also have to do other things.
But I think Brooke Davis has yet to save the world. I would not want done yet until you see Brooke Davis Save the Planet.
And it has other very interesting future projects like Dragon Ball Z. That also can save the planet, since she is a fighter.
