Forget about close pals, William and Kate will have a line of petite princesses standing next to them on their big day!
Yes, Prince William‘s best man is his younger brother Prince Harry, 26, and Kate Middleton‘s maid of honor is her sister Pippa Middleton, 27. But the rest of the royal wedding party is an exclusive pack of preschool pals — or shall we say princesses. That’s right, every one of Kate’s bridesmaids is under the age of eight.
Prince William isn’t married yet, but he’s got babies on the brain
The baby bridesmaids include Lady Louise Windsor, 7, daughter of William’s Uncle Edward; the Hon. Margarita Armstrong-Jones, 8, grandniece of Queen Elizabeth II, and 3-year-old Grace van Cutsem, daughter of Will’s friend Hugh and Eliza Lopes, grandaughter of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

“It could be a bit chaotic,” a family friend tells People, “but it will be lovely.” Prince Charles and Princess Diana had young ones in their wedding too. But they weren’t THIS young. India Hicks, was 13, Lady Sarah Chatto, was 17, Clementine Hambro, was the youngest at 5, and Sarah Jane Gaselle, was 11.

Cultural thing. It’s more normal to have child bridesmaids than adoult ones in most countries in Europe.

Ha! Americans are so funny, it’s just what you do in England. Some people do have a few friends but mostly it’s just little nieces and cousins.
