While we saw a slew of gorgeous gowns on the red carpet at the 2011 Academy Awards, there were also a few looks that left us wondering, ‘What were they thinking?!’

Among the worst looks of the night, there was Nicole Kidman — the star is usually so stylish, but her Dior dress did nothing for the star! Helena Bonham Carter continued her quirky streak on the carpet, while Sharon Stone and Marisa Tomei followed her lead in equally questionable get-ups.
