Jennifer Lopez‘s unnecessary music video premiere aside, the March 3 episode of American Idol was intense and totally mind-blowing. You knew they were going to bring back naima the moment the cameras panned to the judges faces when she was eliminated. She annoyed the crap out of me. I would have rather had Brett.

naima had a compelling story, and steven tyler couldn’t NOT give her a second chance. she won’t make it more than a round or two, and i wished he had given it to someone else like julie (?), the “young bette midler” or someone with a better shot. naima didn’t irritate me, but i didn’t find her singing all that special. i thought randy and jennifer’s choices were good though.
