Kate Gosselin Makes Kids Skip Spring Break To Work On Her Show—Exclusive Details!
Instead of relaxing at home, Kate wants to follow the kids around with cameras again. Is this too much?
Kate Gosselin doesn’t want her eight little kiddies just lounging around! HollywoodLife.com has just confirmed that Kate and the kids are in Tennessee and will be helping host a food drive at Food City in Kingsport, TN., on Mar. 9 and it will be filmed for an episode of Kate Plus 8.
“Kate and her kids will be at out here at Food City tomorrow at 10am,” a source at Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee tells us. “We’re really excited to have them helping out for such a good cause.”
But even though it’s a great lesson for the kids, it’s their spring break!
“Kate saw this as the perfect opportunity to film,” our source close to the Gosselin camp says. “Even if it is their spring break.”
But this isn’t the first time that Kate has capitalized on her children’s downtime to squeeze in some filming. We told you the Gosselettes missed school in January when Kate took the kids to film in Australia and New Zealand.
And just recently they were spotted working on another holiday — Presidents Day. They had camera crews in tow at their local grocery store and they were filming all afternoon.

WHY would anyone believe she was HONESTLY concerned about hunger and the homeless?!
She whined & insulted the hungrey & homeless in SP Alaska! She stood under a tent, grumbling…”Why would anyone intentionally want to be homeless.” Then she b!t)ched & threw a tantrum, “There’s nothing to eat!” Threw a sandwich down & said, “I’m hungry!” Cooler filled with food, the Palins cooking burgers & hotdogs. Her son gave her a hot dog, she smelled & picked at the hot dog, refusing to eat the hot dog.
Seriously, HONESTLY, anyone believing she had a charitable epiphany has been conned again by Katie Irene Kreider. She’s using the hunger & homeless as a platform to rehab her b!t)ched out image. Pennsylvania HAS foodbanks, WHY didn’t she SAVE $$ & do charitable volunteering & helping these charities market their agency’s needs?

the gosselin children are that, children. children do not take vacations from living.all this silliness about their working just shows the denseness of the “sayers” i wonder what they do with their children if they have any. kates doing great in leading her children to become healthy happy adults. that’s parents job.

Will the Klovers offer to HELP the Gosselin 8 when everything & everybody disappears from their lives?!
Will they offer to help and fill in for the film crew ‘daddies’ when the crew moves on to the next gig?
Will they continue to worship their idol the news is revealed, Katie & Steve are a couple?! Hey Steve, are you still in the basement or have you gone home yet? Oh, that’s right, you’re in TN with your ‘client’ who has NO friends. Oops, sorry, she DOES have friends — PAID FRIENDS!! When the $$ dries up, will they still be around or will she be crying another story, “Everybody leaves me.”

Charity begins @ home! Guess the moneygrubbing Momster doesn’t believe in giving back to the PA community who volunteered in the early years or to the churches who gave so much of their $$ when Katie was grifting & conning.
She would NEVER participate in a charitable event or exhibit an ounce of altruism to help anyone but herself. When her handler is with her, she’s on TLC’s $$. Oh wait, Katie, Steve, Jamie, Ashley, TLC, and ALL the adults involved in filming are withdrawing from the Gosselin 8 ATM. Her goal, squeeze every $$ possible from the G8 ATM machine before they completely shut down!
Another attempt to repair her image. Everybody KNOWS she HAS exhibited b!t)chy behaviors in the past at other charity events. In one episode, Jon loaded a UHaul with items to self at a fundraiser. When they arrived at the event, she b!t)ched about a spelling error. The twins helped unload the UHaul & discovered Momster decided to SELL items from their grandfather!! The girls were heartbroken & she laughed. In another episode, she b!t)ched about wrapping gifts for kids @ a pediatric cancer ward. Not one ounce of compassion or alturism in her wicked bones!!
TLC pays, she cracks the whip on the WORKING Gosselin 8. IF she was so fantastic, self supporting, can-do-everything-herself WTH HAPPENED TO TWIST OF KATE! What? It’s NOT happening because she is NOTHING without the Gosselin 8!

You got it!! She is nothing without those kids, & she wouldn’t do anything without TLC’s cameras. If it pertains to charity, she is controlling, negative, & it’s all about her. How could anyone make a trip to a pediatric cancer ward about THEMSELVES? She bitched that she was on bedrest for however many weeks, & compared that to having cancer. WHO does that?? Kate. How unbelievably cold-hearted. I do think that doing something to help the hungry is great, & showing the kids how to help people could be inspiring, but let’s face it, if it weren’t for TLC’s big idea & Kate’s contract, Kate wouldn’t do shi*t in terms of volunteering with her kids. Kate is about Kate, & nothing more.

Kate’s not helping any charity. That baker show guy on TLC has been promoting this. Kate’s getting paid by her “charity work” and that’s the ONLY way she’ll do it. She won’t even give EIGHT kids clothes to charity she takes the used clothes where she will be PAID for them. Kate and charity from the goodness of her heart will never happen as she only has evil in her heart.
You would think that with all the things the people of PA have done for her she would give something back there, but at least she is doing something, even though TLC is forcing her to.

I’m sure kids that age really think ‘relaxing at home’ sounds like an awesome break…what a bore.
At least this way they are doing something outside of their regular routine – which is what a break is all about.
I’d love to see how the rest of the people out there in Kate’s situation would handle it (the 8 kids)…I’m sure you all have money growing on trees in the yard.
Give the woman a break she’s giving her kids a future most parents can’t and won’t provide!

Oh my goodness – they are volunteering during spring break, call social services. I don’t see anything wrong with this. I mean is everyday filled with taping, certainly don’t have that information for this article. They are spending time working at a food shelf, that seems like a great thing to do with kids. It’s called giving back. If they did it on a weekend you’d say “it’s a weekend, oh my god” . Also, I’m sure they will get to check out Tennessee since they are there – maybe they get to do other stuff too besides the few hours they may be taping.
And in regards to them missing school to go to Australia & New Zealand is that really a problem. I mean I know I missed some school here and there (whether it was a couple days or a week for a family trip during my school years). I’m sure it was an amazing opportunity for the family. They got to go to Australia – I’m sure they learned a lot more during that trip than had they been in school. I mean first of all the littlest ones are in first grade – I have a nephew in first grade and I constantly ask what you do in school, what did you guys work on and it’s not much. School is important, but so is exploring the world and learning that way.
I’ve watched the show and in the beginning (5/6 years ago) it detailed their everyday life but the last 2/3 years it’s been a travel show really. They get to go to some amazing places that as a family with 8 kids wouldn’t be able to afford. From what I’ve read they don’t actually film that much – just a cluster of time here and there. I really wish people would just lay off. They are basically having family vacations taped – oh my how horrible is that.
and to the commenter who says ” Kids should be at home in their PJs watching cartoons eating pancakes and PB&Js and Lucky Charms cereal all day playing the Wii and playing with their friends. ” I mean really. I think Kate fixes healthier food than Lucky Charms which is loaded with sugar .. But should any kid spend their entire spring break watching cartoons, eating pancakes, playing the Wii- that seems wrong to me.

To Colin: First of all, the 6 youngest Gosselins are in
kindergarten, not first grade. Second of all, why does every vacation have to be filmed? You said you were taken out of school for vacations, but were you filmed for a television station? I highly doubt it. Kate Kreider is nothing without her children, and continues to pimp them out for money. Why do her children have to make her an income? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Did your parents make you work on vacation to support them?

Really when are we going to see the demise of Kate Gosselin’s so-called celebrity. She is just a redneck wannabe from PA and nothing else. I wonder if she still makes all her soups and freezes them to use throughout the year as she once did on one of the earlier shows?? I seriously doubt it. I used to watch the show because they lived near by former PA home. Now I’m ashamed of her. She’s all show and so self-absorbed. Enough already. Her children will certainly have traumatic memories to share when they are adults and talking to the tabloids!!!

I dont get what the problem here is. On President’s Day, she took her kids to the grocery store. Filming or not, she’s not the only parent who does that. And having your children participate in charity isn’t a horrible thing. This happened over a course of one day, not a whole week! She is just trying to support herself and her family the best way she can.

I think the problem most of us have is that Kate ONLY does things when the film crew are in tow and money is to be made.Of all the pics we see of her its always alone and never with the kids unless they are filming.This charity thing should have been done longa ago.As much money as she has made over the past 5 years don’t tell she is broke.Lets be real here.She has made enough money to be able to go back to a regular job and still provide for those kids. As for Jon he made mistakes and now has moved forward. He works,he PAYS his support,he sees his kids. Leave the man alone already.

What, no judgment for those other reality tv families, Bonnie? They can film whatever they want, whenever they want, but not Kate….I guess that’s because Kate is so….SPECIAL to you, right? You folks are nuts. Here Kate is teaching her kids a valuable lesson about giving back. The Gosselins are blessed to have a large home, organic food, and private education.
It’s not going to hurt them ….in fact it will no doubt be fun and make them feel good about themselves, to do some volunteer work.
Many youths are foregoing spring break lately. Instead of partying or just loafing at home they have been volunteering for Habitat for Humanity!
I’m tired of this site ALWAYS seeing the NEGATIVE in everything Kate does. You are hypocrites much. Why not support this mother who is working to provide the best life possible for her kids!
