Jamie Lynn Spears And Daughter Maddie! Wow, We Haven’t Seen Them Forever!

Jamie Lynn celebrated her 20th birthday with little Maddie—and we can’t believe how much they’ve both grown up!

Jamie Lynn Spears, the former Nickelodeon star often credited with starting the “teen mom” trend,  turned 20-years-old yesterday and she marked the milestone by tweeting, “goodbye teens…HELLO 20′s!!!” Jamie Lynn, who now lives in Nashville, also tweeted a photo of herself playing dress-up in princess dresses with her 3-year-old daughter, Maddie.

Then last night Jamie wrapped up her birthday by tweeting a picture of herself with a yummy-looking chocolate cake reading “Happy Birthday Momma!” The caption said, “Cake from my baby girl! That’s a wrap!” So cute! Will Jamie Lynn ever return to TV? We miss her! Or will she remain a stay-at-home mom for now?

Never thought I would say this about a Spears, but KUDOS for her and handling the situation of being a single mom. She did the right thing in removing herself from the spotlight and focusing on her daughter. She did not “start” the teen mom epidemic; if anything she should be used as an example of what these girls should be doing…avoiding the desire for fame and drama and actually being a responsible parent. Jamie, please continue what you have been doing, and know that when the time is right and you decide to restart your career, your daughter and the rest of us will be behind you. You obviously understand that being a parent is your first priority and everything in life comes second. Stay away from the spotlight, the fame, the drama and keep doing what you are doing, your daughter will appreciate it one day when she looks back and realizes all that you did for her; and you will be happy when she grows up happy and you realize that you did that!
