Insiders tell us Jennifer Aniston’s Lifetime directing project was a massive success making Hollywood wonder if she’s planning to leave the limelight behind!

Since her days on Friends, Jennifer Aniston has gotten more attention for her life off-screen than her succession of film projects that turned out to be box office flops. Since losing Brad Pitt to Angelina Jolie, Jennifer has had to work harder than most Hollywood stars to prove her relevance and value in the dog-eat-dog entertainment industry — and insiders on her latest directorial project tell us she’s doing just that!

Now, Jennifer can hold her head high. Working with Alicia Keys, Demi Moore and filmmaker Patty Jenkins, sources tell HollywoodLife.com Jennifer’s directing debut in Project Five, a series of five short films focused on the effects of breast cancer in people’s lives for the Lifetime network, was a massive success.

“She is done with the project, it only took a week,” our source says. “It was painless and they were really short days. She was in a zone to make everything work out, and it apparently met expectations.”

Stepping behind the camera for the first time, crew members said there was nothing but encouragement and support for Jennifer, who put 110% into her role as a director.

“She was considered a natural. But she also surrounded herself with a great crew that helped her out,” our source raves. “The actors and actresses really went all out knowing that this was her first time, and they have major respect for her. It was incident free, but a success none the less.”

In a recent statement, Jennifer talked about her hopes for Project Five.

“Our hope with Project Five is to entertain, inform and inspire dialogue, research and prevention. Otherwise, our goals are small,” Jennifer said. “We want these films to move people and empower those affected by breast cancer to stand tall through this challenge, which impacts ALL of our lives, no matter who we are.”

While Jennifer’s love life is often the hot topic of celebrity gossip, the Project Five set was kept strictly professional with no mention of her rumored romance with The Hangover 2 star Bradley Cooper.

“Bradley Cooper was not on set or mentioned or referred to,” our source says.
