Mariah Carey’s $1-Million Nurseries: First Look — See Photos!

Mommy-to-be Mariah has spent $1 million creating two spectacular nurseries for her twin babies at her homes in California and New York — and it shows!
Mariah Carey, 42, hired a top decorator to create two unique rooms on the East and West Coasts, guaranteed to make her and Nick Cannon‘s twin son and daughter the most pampered infants in Hollywood.
It was recently reported the couple had spent $1 million on their babies’ rooms, and sneak-peek photos of the luxurious nurseries show no expense has been spared.
The rooms are packed with expensive cribs, stuffed toys and designer accessories.
“I wanted to create a beautiful, tranquil, cozy environment for the babies. Everything matches, but pieces are individualized to celebrate the twins as separate entities,” Mariah tells Life & Style.
And you can forget traditional blue and pink for these superstar offspring. Mariah adds, “I feel like I’m bringing two individuals into the world, so I wanted to do more than cookie-cutter styles in blue and pink.”
The pop diva is so proud of the nursery she created at her Bel Air home that she spends hours in there, staring at the star-speckled ceiling!
“The ceiling has orangey-pink clouds in a blue sky with golden stars twinkling. It’s based on two songs I wrote that are fan favorites: ‘Underneath the Stars’ and ‘Close My Eyes.’ Sometimes I just sit in the nursery and stare at the ceiling because I love it so much. To me, it symbolizes wanting my children to dream as big as possible and to let their imaginations be unbridled.”
Not content with just one plush baby palace, Mariah has created an entirely different nursery in New York — where Nick hints the kids could end up spending much of their time: “I prefer the East Coast schooling over the West Coast. But there are other things that come into play, like work.”
Despite their opulent surroundings, Mariah insists her babies won’t be detached from reality, saying “It’s going to be a delicate balance between raising them around glitz and glamour and keeping them grounded.”
But then again, this is Mariah Carey we’re talking about!

With so much poverty nd hunger in our own country I would have rather they did a much less expensive nursery for the furure spoiled brats and donate 750K to worthy charities…but alas, I’m forgetting we’re talking about selfish celebrities who think they NEED to spend money to create happiness!

the Nurseries are beautiful and nothing stars haven’t done for their children for decades. particularly if it’s the first child children born after a loss or losses as the twins are for Mariah & Nick. of course not all star kids grow up to be snotty self entitled brats Nell Newman for example runs a major multi national organic food compaany all of the proceeds of which go to charity as her late father Paul’s food company also does of course Newman’s own originally start out particially as a joke typical of Paul’s sense of humour
