Kate debuts her gorgeous lace gown by Sarah Burton — and she looks amazing!
Kate Middleton’s Royal Wedding gown has finally been revealed and she looks gorgeous! The blushing bride proved she truly is the new People’s Princess as she arrived at Westminster Abbey April 29 in a stunning Sarah Burton dress for the Royal Wedding!
In a gorgeous gown with lace overlay on the bodice and long sleeves, Kate’s dress was appropriate without being too over the top, with the 10 foot fishtail train following behind her. We’re so happy the bride opted for a modern gown that still managed to adhere to tradition. She completed the look with a veil trimmed in lace. While we were thrilled with her dress, what did you think of her gown?

Look at the big picture, she has made a smart choice; as a commoner selecting her cues in design from Grace Kelly she is smart positioning herself into their realm. Graceful and elegant the “firm” can’t complain, she’s ready and perfect to take them to the next level. Diana would be proud; pleased to see the Queen “shun Camilla”. Appropriate PR for the day.

The Queen was very cordial to Camilla. In fact, it is obvoius that they all like Camilla very much and she is a genuinely nice person. She did not cause the problems between Charles and Di, she was just a byproduct of the big fall out. Diana, so obsessed with self and appearances and no common interests between Charles and Diana. Diana was a master at playing the crowds and the press. The boys are great and they have been sunstantially raised bu their father and Camilla.

Also, I dare you to say that if someone came along and slept with YOUR husband, that it was your own fault the marriage ended and the mistress had nothing to do with it. Just because Princess Diana was a media darling, does not mean the dissolution of the marriage was her fault. She was a shy little doe when she married Charles and he treated her like dirt, going so far as to inform her that he would not be the first Prince of Wales to not have a mistress.
Harry and William were teenagers when their mother died and their upbringing is largely the result of the wonderful mothering Diana did. Do not be so cruel as to attempt to take that away from her by claiming Camilla raised them. I doubt that her sons would thank you for it.
Camilla is a home-wrecker. She should have stayed away from a married man. And Charles is just as bad. They both behaved shamefully. If Charles loved Camilla so much he should’ve given up the throne like Prince Edward did for his love, Wallis Simpson. Clearly, he loved his title more than he did his new wife.
Finally, it’s NOT obvious to most people that anyone likes Camilla or that she is a genuinely nice person. She very well could be, but neither you nor I know her, so neither of us can say.

It looked like she got her dress from a Mexican thrift store and her make looked cheap.

Thank the blessed Lord, long sleeves are back. Nothing more elegant and flattering than long lace sleeves – maybe now all of the XXX girls will stop trying to shove themselves into strapless gowns…..

The dress was stunning and perfect for this venue. I hope this will send a message to all those thousands of dumb girls who have their strapless gowns with their breasts hanging out -thinking that they look elegant… NOT. A Wedding is not a Cocktail party, you have plenty of time to wear strapless numbers throughout your life, a wedding is sacred and should be honored that way.

The dress looked nice, but I was expecting one that would look at least a little different from the ones I’ve seen at local weddings. There wasn’t anything special about it.

I think Kate looked gorgeous and it suits her. Her dress will still be amazing 20 years from now. Personally Princess Diana’s dress to me looked like a pumpkin. I think she would have looked better with a slimline dress.

This dress was okay, but I expected so much more! It was too mature for her, it aged Kate by at least 10 years! Not a good look for Kate, Dianna’s was amazing!!

I completely agree with your comment. I think it aged her. It was beautiful but not youthful enough for her.
