After a whirlwind romance, former ‘American Idol’ contestant Pia Toscano tells us she’s just ‘friends’ with Mark Ballas and is ready to focus on her career!
That didn’t last long! After meeting each other on the lot for Dancing with the Stars and American Idol, Pia Toscano and Mark Ballas shared a fast relationship (she even met his family!), but the 22-year-old singer tells HollywoodLife.com their romance is over nearly as quick as it began.
“You know, he is so busy and I am so busy, we really are just friends!” Pia told us exclusively at the launch of the Samsung Infuse 4G by AT&T event in Hollywood May 12. “He is a wonderful person, who comes from a wonderful family! I’m really rooting for him…”
Pia and Mark, 24, shared neighboring trailers for their reality shows and started seeing each other after she was shockingly eliminated from American Idol April 7. The couple even did cross overs, with Pia performing on Dancing with the Stars while Mark danced — and Mark sitting in the front row for one of Pia’s returns to Idol.
That said, don’t feel badly for Pia’s loss. She’s ready to take the world by storm.
“I’m really working hard,” she told us. “I’m working hard right now on my music!”

Who cares! they are both busy with singing, and Mark just released a fantastic new cd called HurtLoveBox. I met Mark and he is a sweetheart, and I am sure Pia is one too!

She has said all along they are just friends. Don’t see what the big deal is. Would rather hear about her music career myself.

She has always said they are just friends. She has an amazing voice and seems very sweet. Would rather hear about her music career and not who she is dating. Good call Pia focus on your music. You are young, plenty of time to date. Goodluck.

Love the snarky, jealous comments from the “b*tchtrolls” on here. She’s hott as hell and going places. Newsflash losers, Pia’s bigger then Mark already. She has 50000 more followers on twitter, sexy and will have her first record out as soon as idol is over. At the very least she is a goddess who will grace Maxim, Playboy etc. Pia is sexy and sweet but b*tches can’t get past the ubersexy, so they say she’s a “cobra” whatever

you guys are all idiots for your comments and this article is a complete waste of time…She ALWAYS says that when people ask her about their “relationship”!! She’s NEVER confirmed that they were dating! Everytime someone asks her about it she says that EXACT same thing! Why now all of a sudden does it mean that they’ve “called it quits”?? Really? And Celebuzz is even DUMBER for posting it on their site…smh.

Right..she chases him, gets lots of free publicity and photo opts with him, gets to sing on DWTS and her name mentioned for three weeks on a hugely popular show and NOW she’s too busy to date Mark and they are just friends.
