‘Teen Mom 2′ Jenelle Evans Won’t Show Up For Court Because She’s In Rehab!
Jenelle’s attorney Dustin Sullivan tells HollyBaby.com that he will ask the judge for a continuance in Jenelle’s fight video case as she’s away focusing on her recovery!
Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans is expected to appear in court on May 24 pending charges of assault and affray for her fight video case – where she was filmed beating up her former friend Britany Truett. But Jenelle’s attorney Dustin Sullivan tells HollyBaby.com exclusively that Jenelle will not be in court as she’s away at rehab.
“Tomorrow’s court date will most likely be continued,” Dustin confirms to HollyBaby.com. “Jenelle’s in inpatient treatment, so she is not scheduled to be back in North Carolina by tomorrow.”
“We’re going to be asking the judge to continue the case,” says Dustin. “If someone is in rehab, they will go ahead and continue it as long as we’ve got proof.”
In fact, Dustin does not expect Jenelle to return home to Oak Island for over a month.
Jenelle’s the one who voluntarily decided to go away. “The inpatient treatment was all Jenelle’s decission to go,” adds Dustin. “We did research together on some possiblilites.”
“It was all her doing,” continues Dustin. “She’s getting help and she knows that she needs it. It wasn’t offered as part of her probation here. So she’s going out on her own. It was a grownup decision.”
Dustin also denies that Jenelle is in rehab for alcohol abuse related issues. “There’s a wide range of therapy addressing serveral issues, but not alcohol abuse,” he explains. “They are touching in on some of the emtional issues she’s had to deal with, not just with the legal part but over the past three years.”
Going away was the best choice for Jenelle as she’s doing really well with her recovery. “She’s progressing ,which is a good thing,” Dustin notes. “She seems to be happy with her decision to enter into treatment.”

I’m a HUGE fan of Jenelle. buuuuut that’s still no excuse not to show up, it doesn’t take much effort to get up and go to court. If she was clear across the world and or country then yea, but if it’s easy enough to hope on a train then go. it’s showing lazyness.
