She’s the chic-est little girl in showbiz, so why shouldn’t Suri Cruise strap on some stilettos for a Hollywood beach party!
But 5-year-old Suri and her mom Katie Holmes quickly found that out that heels may not have been the best choice when they got stuck in the sand!The whole Cruise family hit the Malibu shore on Memorial Day for a star-studded shindig at super producer Joel Silver‘s house, including Suri, Katie, 32, Tom, 48, and the actor’s adopted son Connor, 16.
While the men stayed in the shade and networked with industry VIPs, Katie and Suri strutted their super-stylish stuff in the sand — even if their heels slowed them down.
It’s not the first time Suri’s fashion has raised eyebrows; Katie was criticized when the little fashionista first slipped on a pair of heels when she was just THREE and she’s been attacked for allowing her daughter to dress in clothes and accessories that cost thousands of dollars.
Suri’s style earned her a place on Glamour magazine’s recent Best Dressed list — but is it all too much for a 5-YEAR-OLD?

Her heels are hanging out of the back of those shoes. The shoes are to small for her. And no, those shoes are not proper for the beach.

Totally unnecessary reporting that a child is adopted. You are setting up a “lesser than” comparison with Tom Cruise’s second family versus the children from his first family/marriage with Nicole Kidman.

Thank you soooo much for saying this. I mean WTF! is wrong with the writers of this blog? Why on GOD’s green earth would any one say such a mean thing. I am sure the kids already know that they are adopted, they dont need it pushed in their faces. Sick.

BTW Coco Arquette, Courtney Cox and David Arquette’s daughter was also at that party and also wearing shoes with a little heel in them. I don’t understand why everyone freaks out over this because they do make children’s shoes with heels in them. She’s a little girl, just leave her alone.

Like someone commented on another site, “Suri can walk!” Hollybaby wanted to know what I think. I think they are both spoiled brats. What mother would put her child in heels, knowing what the doctors say about Suri’s growth and feet. Obviously, that makes Katie a terrible mother and Katie only cares that the camera is on her, and she uses Suri to do it. Katie can’t act, sing or dance and she walks around pigeon-toed. Didn’t anyone tell Kate to stop walking like a little girl and grow up!? She brags about Suri’s taste in clothes, big deal! In fact, that’s all she brags about, which means that is all that is important to her, shopping and clothes.

You want to know why Kate and Suri are on the beach with shortsd and a leather jacket. Kate spotted a camers there and she will do anything to get herself and Suri in front of a camera. So, if it’s run to the beach with a leather jacket and high heels, so be it. As I said, she just can’t miss an opportunity to get Suri in fromt of a camers.

I am so sick Suri Cruise popping up every time I turm on my computer. She’s just a little girl so why does every program on Aol think we care what she has on or whether she is on the beach today or shopping. I know tht every time a camera shows up, Kate runs in front of it with Suri in hand or carrying her to be sure they get in front of the camera before it gets away. But can’t the cameramen turn away from her? Really Kate, and photographers, we don’t care what Suri is doing anymore. Your kid is no more amusing than anyone elses. Kate either as far as that’s concernened. They really are very boring!!!! After seeing Kate lug that big baby in front of the camera a zillion times.
