Who would have thought two of the biggest boy bands of all time would not only get back together, but collaborate on one stage?!
New York City had a blast from the past this morning-boy bands Backstreet Boys — minus Kevin Richardson – and New Kids On The Block stopped at NBC’s Today to give fans a preview of their NKOTBSB tour. Keep reading to see the video!
“I’m reliving my teenage dream,” said fan Dawn Finnimore, 32, who is attending four of their shows.
The crowd went wild as the New Kids opened the show. BSB quickly joined them for a “larger than life” collaboration. Our 90s favorites, who still look just as good as they did back then, embraced the crowd after to speak with fans. Almost everyone was blown away by their appreciation.
“It’s a blessing,” Janere McBean, 23, commented on the comeback. “I have been a fan of BSB for fifteen years and NKOTB for three. I feel like now I get to see what I missed out on in the previous generation.”
All differences seemed to be put aside this morning, no sign of rivalry between fans. In the past people have gotten physical and faced charges due to the drama and conflict of generations. At least NBC security was happy.
It seems as though some BSB fans forgot they were heavily influenced by the New Kids.
“Drama is petty,” Finnimore added, “We’re older now, and it shouldn’t matter. Who cares?”
Another fan, who camped out the last four days, agreed.
“Life is too short,” she said, “and most of us are grown women.”
NKOTBSB will continue their tour tonight at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. Concert goers, you’re in for a treat. Not to mention-Nick Carter’s still got it.

I saw them in Chicago. They were awesome! Totally made up for never being able to go to a NKOTB concert when I was little.
