Rob is looking incredibly buff and muscular in these stills from the ‘Breaking Dawn’ trailer — did he have another man step in for his big sex scene?
Robert Pattinson may be known for his dreamy looks and swoonworthy smoldering, but not so much for being the most muscular of guys. So, it comes as somewhat of a shock to see the very muscular, and very ripped, back he is showing off in the Breaking Dawn trailer. In fact, it is so shocking that it begs the question — did Rob use a body double for his Breaking Dawn sex scene?
The theory would seem to make sense as the film’s first sex scene is meant to show how strong Rob’s character is as he experiences his first time with his new bride, played by Kristen Stewart. This requires Rob to even crush the sill of a wall, as seen in the trailer. Maybe Taylor Lautner stepped in for him?
HollywoodLife has reached out to Summit Entertainment with this VERY pressing question, but have yet to hear back.

Hollywood Life clearly you never saw the illegally released photos that were spread over the internet before they were taken down. There were several pictures of Bella and Edward making love including two short clip videos.
In them you can see Robert’s back. One picture had Bella and Edward sitting together in the nude kissing. Rob is turned slightly to his right. You should see his muscles!!
If you look at the love scene in Remember Me when he flips her over at the first part of the scene, you can see the muscles there.
Again, in the Breaking Dawn pics that were put over the internet, picture after picture you can see Rob’s back and that back is his. Those photos were not retouched. They were raw.
So people, THAT IS ROB’S BACK!! BELIEVE IT!!!

Yeah, it’s totally Rob. He stuck it out till the 4th movie, why would he agree to a body double for his love scene with Bella? I mean, finally the consummation of Edward and Bella’s love for each other. Besides, think Kellen Lutz did mention that Rob has been working out a lot. He just doesn’t feel the need to show off or flex his muscles to prove he’s a man. He has definitely bulked up a little more since Twilight.Love him!

No, I don’t think it’s a body double, it looks like his arms and it DEFINITELY looks like his fingers. hmmm you know he can work out right? it’s not a foreign language to him. He worked out for New Moon, why not for Breaking dawn?? So really I don’t see a point to this at all, other than pleasurable curiosity, which is not needed. Oh and if they did use a body double, so what? Still makes it a good movie and doesn’t affect Robert, he is anyway know as Sexy and Tall not Hot and masculine :/. But I respect your views, its cool to be curious.

It’s him. His back and arms have always been amazing. Look at them in WFE and Remember Me. His back is gorgeous and totally ripped. It’s just the crappy gray body make-up and CGI that makes him look all sickly in NM. Even in the candids from that day of shooting, he looks good.

It is well known among fans that Rob started working out. Goodness knows he must have felt the need after New Moon had hit theaters and people were comparing Taylor’s new bod to Rob’s rather thin and pale version. So we know Rob started working out and built up his muscles. I don’t think they used a body-double. Rob and Kristen wouldn’t allow it, would they? Haha

It Is Absolutely Robert Pattinson, Without Doubt! I Don’t Know Whether You’ve Seen The Leaked Images And The 13-sec leaked video, But if you can get your hands on that video or those images, all your doubts will be removed at once! In the 13-sec video you can clearly see Robert’s well built muscles, which we also get to see in the headboard-breaking scene in the trailer. And in those images, you can even see Rob’s face as well as his muscles. So there you go! It’s ROBERT PATTINSON guys!:)

A more pressing question for me would be if its Rob when the camera flashes to his face in the clip at the end when Bella feels the baby move. I do not think its him. And when my little grandaughter watched it the first time, as soon as it showed his face, she said mammaw thats not Edward. If it is him its a really bad make-up job. But if you ask me its not him. The nose is definetly different and even the jaw line. Check out you tube, Kristen Stewarts bites Robert Pattinson. When they are up in the tree at the end, its their doubles. Thats who I think it is. But like I said it could be a really bad make-up job.

I’m absolutely sure! it’s robert! during Water for elephants his muscles grew up, and in the trailer, when he kisses Bella’s neck, he appears very muscular! I love his shoulders!! =)

heard he did work out it was filmed in novenber but come april for the rio shots he looks awful again me thinks he likes his beer to much to keep a buff body
