Selena graces the upcoming cover of ‘Billboard’ and talks about ditching her image as a Disney darling to focus on her singing career!
Between finishing her role on Disney’s Wizards of Waverly Place, starting her world wind romance with Justin Bieber, and launching her singing career, Selena Gomez has had quite a year! And in her interview with Billboard magazine, Selena reveals that she has no intention of slowing down.
Flaunting her sexy legs in a ’60s-style swimsuit, Selena talks family, technology, and growing up in next week’s Billboard.
On being both a singer and an actress: “It’s obviously an important phase in my career, and personally. The good news is I have been juggling acting and signing for two-and-a-half to three years. But I have to start over in some areas. It’s interesting to start taking risks, to grow up through my music.”
On working professionally with her mom, Mandy Teefey: “My mom has been my manager since day one. She helps me make choices correctly. She protects me.”
On who’s career she would like to emulate: “(Shia LaBeouf) He did it really well. He’s talented and doing wonderful things. Everybody has their own vision of how they want things to play out … Eventually I hope to make a record in Spanish. I don’t do anything that’s not organic.”
On Technology: “I have a love-hate relationship with the Internet. I don’t like it in general – it’s vicious. But it’s also incredibly that I can connect with fans, because I love to hear their feedback and let them know about my life.”

I think she’s the only actress on Disney that has the potential to break away like Shia. All the other Disney stars are ridiculous! She has potential to be one of the few to continue a serious career.

is that even selena? i mean, i love her and all, but that looks like a 25 yr old version of her. wat did u do to her face? u should appreciate how she looks now, not how she WILL look in the future…but she does look pretty hot…;)
