We love the Kardashians, but this stunt makes Kim seem super-greedy. She should have made her wedding gifts charitable!

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries‘ wedding registry was revealed on June 14, and while it certainly lived up to their glam reputations, it certainly left a bad impression on many fans. After all, the Kardashian family made $65 million dollars in 2010 alone — basically for just being the Kardashians. So how do Kris and Kim have the nerve to ask for $4,625 vase and a $1650 coffeemaker from their guests? Why can’t they do something great with their money, like be charitable?

We’re sure Kim’s wedding will be star-studded, so instead of asking for a bunch of overpriced crap they don’t need, why don’t they just help out people who need a little more? Saying nothing about our economy, it’s just super-tacky for rich people to beg for presents. It’d be far better to ask friends and family to bring emotional gifts like photo albums and memory books — and to do something nice for others!

In a Jan. 27 interview with Piers Morgan, Kim bragged about her tithe to the LifeChange Community Church in Calabasas, saying, “Whatever [my worth], I give 10 percent away to the church and that’s what I was taught. Every year. Absolutely.” So why not put your money where you mouth is and have your guests contribute to that or another comparable charity?

We understand a wedding registry is a traditional part of weddings, but you’re not a traditional bride, Kim. After all, you’re getting $1 million from PEOPLE for coverage of your nuptials. And this whole registry is sure to be televised. This alienates you from a major part of your audience which thinks you are so fun and can relate to you. This stunt is just too ridiculous and tacky — even for the Kardashians.
