Although she’s young, Selena’s star is on the rise due to her Wizards of Waverly Place fans, musical talent and high profile BF, Justin Bieber. Add in all of her charity work for UNICEF and Disney’s Friends For Change, and you have a younger and absolutely adorable Angelina Jolie.
E! Online had a little sit down with Selena and told her about her comparison to Angelina. The starlet laughed, saying, “Well, that would be a compliment.”
While promoting her upcoming charity auction benefiting Alabama tornado recovery she raved about Angelina, saying, “I definitely think she’s amazing when it comes to all of her work…That would be awesome.”
The two power women have devoted fans, help out and organize charities and are beyond fashionable with their classic and chic styles. If that isn’t enough, they each have high profile man candy and each one was raised by a single mom. See! These two actually are like two peas in a pod.
Selena — who has grown up giving back to charity — told E! Online it has always been a part of her. “Whenever I grew out of my clothes we would pack them up and give them to Goodwill,” she explained. “Now that I’m older and I live a very blessed life, it’s just nice to be able to give back in a wider way because I have a platform.”

Im from the Uk and Ive been supporting Selena Gomez since Wizards I have grown up with her. I think she has amazing talent and is a great role model. She definately has similarities to Angelina aswell as being her own person! I think she shouldnt be compared to other celebrities like miley cyrus and Victoria justice (i think thats her name idk?)! She is herself and is very talented and se has grown on me over thhe years. Im still supporting her at the age 17!

Sorry but the only thing I know Angelina for is stealing someone’s husband. I think Selena is actually a good person. So maybe she’s like the good morale, clean version of her.

I’m glad she is getting noticed for her work. Not only for her personal life, some people think young stars can’t make it. But we believe in Selena, she has been keeping her feet grounded and is very mature for her age. People these days are so harsh and cruel and rather look at the bad side of celebrities than their talent and dedication.

Maybe Selena isn’t YET a pro at acting but you can’t say she isn’t good at it. She has a long way to go, people like you may not think she is capable of being a famous actress but I see strength and hardwork from her and being complimented like that must feel wonderful for her. Many people have seen her grow onscreen and we could’nt be anymore proud of her. It was a simple compliment, don’t take it so harsh.
