Ok, she may not have come out and said it was a girl, but her face gave it away. Jay Leno knows how to get his guests to fess up!

Jessica Alba appeared on The Tonight Show last night, July 25, and opened up about her pregnancy, — she’s due “very, very soon” — her “grownup” daughter Honor and her hot sauce punishments! Let me tell you, Jessica’s a Tiger mom!

“I’m definitely the disciplinarian,” she tells Jay Leno. “I don’t believe in spankings, but when I was a kid I used to get hot sauce in my mouth when I had a smart mouth. [And] No, it didn’t work!”

She’s not quite that harsh with 3-year-old Honor, but Jessica does admit she pretends to be. “Honor gets timeouts,” she says, adding that she threatens her daughter a little. “I say, ‘You’re going to get a timeout out in the bathroom…with the lights off!’ Time out in the bathroom isn’t bad enough… it makes it seem that much worse [with the lights off].”

But she doesn’t actually leave Honor in a dark, creepy bathroom. “We have a nice little chair that’s her size,” Jessica reveals.

As for teaching Honor about being a grown up, Jessica and hubby Cash Warren are obviously not that strict. “My girlfriend asked her, ‘Are you excited about being a big sister?’ and she’s like, ‘Yeah, because I’m going to be a grownup, I’m going to drink vino and drive!’ So that’s what she thinks,” Jessica laughs. “We’re great examples as parents!”
