After almost two years of being together, the pair has decided to go their separate ways.

Kate Bosworth, 28, and Alexander Skarsgård, 34, met on the set of Straw Dogs, a movie in which you’ll see them playing a married couple — but it’s not out until Sept. 2011! An UsWeekly source told the magazine that Kate and Alexander’s split “was very mutual. And it happened a while ago.”

And apparently Alexander has been enjoying his freedom — July 21 he flirted with a brunette at a Comic-Con party in San Diego, CA — and left with her!
