Taylor Swift could have had not one, but two awkward ex-boyfriend encounters at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night. But while she studiously avoided seeing one, Joe Jonas, she confronted the other, Taylor Lautner, head on — and even hung out with him! How should you handle seeing someone you once loved?
The 21-year-old country singer seems to have grown up in recent months. Not only did she actively see the 19-year-old Twilight star, but she chose to sit next to him out of the everyone in the entire crowd at the Gibson Auditorium!
“They sat next to each other during the ceremony,” an audience member told JustJared.com. “They were laughing and having non-stop fun with each other.”
The same-named twosome met on the set of Valentine’s Day and dated for three months before deciding they were better off as friends.
Apparently that old ‘just friends’ chestnut wasn’t a lie: the two did seem to be genuinely friendly, and not just presenting the media with a toothy photo op.
So, did Taylor handle seeing her ex in the right way? Yes! If you’ve ended a relationship amicably, there’s no need to create drama where it doesn’t exist. Granted, you may not want to hang out with your former BF like Taylor did, but it doesn’t hurt to be nice and have a chat with someone you’ve once dated. You liked them for a reason once, right?
If you run into an ex that broke your heart, I wouldn’t go out of your way to seek him out. Be aware of his presence, and if you happen to be in the same vicinity, do politely say hello and then walk away. The most important thing to remember is for him to see you’ve moved on, that your head is held high and that you are completely happy without him.
Although Taylor may not have had such a run-in with Joe, sweeping an awards show and winning five trophies where he’s won none is a pretty good form of revenge as well.

I think they are better off friends taylor s never felt the way he felt for her when they were together, i really hope they are just friends taylor needs a older mature man.

she dumped him for John Mayer and tried to make Mayer jealous with that Glee guy when she saw John lost interest .She is very mischevious and a loser.They are all winers.

aww thats soo sweet! but to be honest i think taylor is better off single cuz that way she will focus on her music. cuz some celebs forget about their fans after they start dating. but i love you taylor swift no matter what!

Lautner is friends with all of his exes he hugged Selena at last year’s TCA’S and he still spends time with Sara Hicks.

Everyone is a fool to him I know for a fact he is vandictive and doesn’t cvare who he hurts he likes playing head games with people. And will step all over his family for a laugh
