Or do you throw caution to the wind and just go for regardless of how things turned out last time?
It was a media-friendly fairytale when Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner fell in love while shooting Valentine’s Day in 2009; their love story was just too cute. Although they split mere months after finally getting together, they seem to have recently rekindled their romance. But is the 21-year-old country starlet making a mistake by taking things slow this time around?
Although it was reported that the split was caused by their dual hectic schedules, the songbird seems to be telling a different story in her song “Back to December”; in the song she says she wants to reunite with an ex that she treated badly. If the song wasn’t about the 19-year-old Twilight star, it is now: during her Aug. 28 at LA’s Staples Center, she changed the words, singing, “this song is for the boy from Michigan.”
Yes, you guessed it correctly: Breaking Dawn’s hunky wereboy is from Michigan. The singer has been singing her new tune and many of her recent concerts. However, this was the first time she’s ever addressed her ex directly.
For his part, Taylor showed his former girlfriend complete support, and was even spotted “dancing like crazy” to her hit “Love Story.” The two then shared an intimate hug afterwards.
While it’s true the two are close, and their actions might be misconstrued as friendship, an artist doesn’t change the words to his or her songs very often — and they most certainly don’t single out one famous ‘friend’ when so many others are in attendance following the VMAs (which included another ex, Joe Jonas, Reese Witherspoon, Garrett Hedlund, Nicki Minaj and Ashley Greene). My thoughts are that they’re slowly and surely getting back together.
If this is the case, Taylor is completely correct to take her time and feel things out. If she didn’t think things were right with him before, she had a good reason. They do have a two-year age difference, which doesn’t mean much when you’re over 30, but at 21 it means quite a lot. At 19, Taylor L. is legally still a boy.
When you’re getting back together with an ex, it’s right to pace yourself. You want to make sure you don’t make the same mistakes a second time around, and sometimes it takes awhile to get things right. Plus, if a relationship is worth waiting for, then you can be certain that it’s right.
Remember, you can’t always hurry love.

There’s also video of her changing the lyrics again (for the 2nd time) at her LA concert and Taylor Lautner was there this time. Just search in You Tube for Taylor Swift Back to December “this is for the boy from Michigan” Los Angeles 8/28/11. There’s also video of her giving him a hug. Soo cute :)

Who said anything about him not being a man? Boy, girl, it is just a matter of speach to the young. Men, Taylor L.’s age don’t referred to the females as women – they say girls – as do the females when referring to males – unless they are alot older.
Regardless, all I want to know is if there is a video of Taylor S. singing the song with the changes. Can anyone tell me?

You need to get more than your facts straight – you need to get your head on straight. Being “only” 19 doesn’t make Taylor L. a “mere boy” at all. Young men his age have gone to war, died for their country, made decisions for a college major, and countless other “adult” decisions. The only age-related bump in the road is that at 21 Taylor S. can drink and Taylor L. can’t. I’m 55 and I’ve met some young people who, at 19, had more old-fashioned smarts and were more mature than people my age. In fact, you are living proof that older isnt’ necessarily smarter or more mature because not being able to drink doesn’t mean a male is not a man.

Was the song “Back to December” where she changed the words for “the boy from Michigan” ever taped? I have been looking for it everywhere. I would love to see it. I always thought they made a perfect couple. I never really thought that the two ever really got over each other. It would be great to see them happy again.
