The newest Spice Baby, Mel’s third daughter, was born in LA on Sept. 1 — and has gone nameless for five days!
Melanie Brown aka Mel B and husband Stephen Belafonte couldn’t find a name they love for their newborn baby daughter, so they’re letting 12-year-old Phoenix Chi choose! Is this a good idea?
“My daughter Phoenix wants to pick her sisters baby name,” Mel B announced on September 2. “So fingers crossed she picks a good one!!”
And the pre-teen — Mel B’s daughter from her relationship with ex Jimmy Gulzar — is still making her mind up!
After followers pushed for a baby name, Mel B tweeted on September 5, “Phoenix my daughter is still deciding our babies name, i don’t wanna rush her, it will be soon!”
The 36-year-old admitted before giving birth she was struggling with baby names — she even asked fans to pick their favorite from a shortlist of Sunny, Hunter, River and Honor!

what’s so bad about letting a kid pick or at least help pick their siblings names
