Rob might head to Camelot for the blockbuster ‘Pendragon.’ A source tells HollywoodLife.com ‘there is definite interest from both sides!’
Robert Pattinson is a multi-talented actor, yet he doesn’t have anything on the horizon professionally. But a new report claims he’s been approached to star in Pendragon, a historical epic similar in tone to Kristen Stewart‘s Snow White And The Huntsman!
Rob, 25, has allegedly been tapped to play the lead in the re-imagining of a King Arthur tale, The Tracking Board reports. This founding of Camelot story would feature R-Patz as King Arthur himself, effectively rebooting the tale for younger audiences. We’re sure K-Stew, 21, could give her boyfriend a few pointers about how to shoot a medieval epic!
The film will allegedly be directed by Sylvain White, who previously helmed films such as Stomp The Yard & The Losers.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers — is Rob a perfect pick to play the king?
UPDATE: Sources now tell HollywoodLife.com that, although Rob has not officially signed on for the part, “there is definite interest from both sides.”

This article says that he “doesn’t have anything on the horizon professionally.” Get your facts straight! He has Bel Ami, BD part 1, Cosmopolis, and BD part 2 (all already filmed). So he can just kind of chill since he has four movies coming up! On top of that he’s gonna start filming the movie Unbound Captives next year.

Copying Kristen?
Robert is light years better actor than her.
He played prince Giselher in Ring of the Nibelungs 2004
One of the most awesome movies ever, because it is about my favorite book.

Rob’s first job was a viking mini series, Rob doesn’t need any pointers from Kristen Stewart, why do you insist on pumping Kristen up by putting Rob down? Other than for hits.

While I’d love to see Pattinson in a Camelot themed film, I’m not sure where the comparison to SWATH comes in. Oh wait, yes I do. You can’t mention Pattinson without mentioning Stewart for site hits.
Funny how you refer to SWATH as “historical epic” in tone…last time I checked it was a fairy tale. And the movie is a far departure from the actual tale.

Robert would make a great king. I’m already excited! Of course Kristen would give him tips and stuff. She’s a really supportive girlfriend.

Robert Pattinson would be perfectly cast as Arthur in Pendragon. RPATZ fans’ hearts would break when they see Rob’s reactions to Guinevere’s flirtations with Lancelot! The Twi-hards would swarm to this movie! I can hear the hearts fluttering already … and Pendragon hasn’t even started filming yet!

Fox has a good experience with Rob when it comes to earning money!
