We’ve seen Michelle in a variety of roles, but her most important role is as Matilda’s supportive mommy!

Michelle Williams has gone from appearing in teen drama Dawson’s Creek to starring as Marilyn Monroe in the upcoming film My Week With Marilyn. Not to mention she was nominated for an Academy Award this year for her role opposite Ryan Gosling in Blue Valentine. Is there another nomination in her future?

Michelle lives in Brooklyn, NY with adorable daughter Matilda, 5, who is of course her child with the late Heath Ledger.

“I was just an actor who happened to be lucky enough to be in the right place, and it was the place where I met Matilda’s father, and that is a lot,” Michelle tells Angeleno magazine of Brokeback Mountain. “And it will be a lot for Matilda too, when she gets around to watching it. I will watch it with her, when she’s ready,” she adds of the film. “It is hard to imagine what that would feel like, but one day, yes, we will watch it together.”
