‘Monte Carlo’ was just the beginning — Selena’s on her way to becoming a major movie star!
Selena Gomez has conquered music and TV — and now she’s setting her sights on the big screen! In a new interview with Kiss FM Seattle, Selena opens up about her budding movie career, and the A-listers she hopes to work with in the future. “I don’t think Leonardo DiCaprio is calling me anytime soon,” she admits. “But I will be calling Leonardo myself and asking if he wants to work with me!”
Wow, that’s gutsy! Selena’s determination to break into movies reminds us of her BFF Taylor Swift‘s rise in the music world. (Remember how she went door-to-door sharing her music with people when she was just 11 years old?)
But just because Leo isn’t beating down Selena’s door, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have other superstars in her rolodex!
“I’ve had a phone call with Salma Hayek, who said she wanted to work with me,” Selena reveals. “And before Natalie Portman got pregnant, [she] said she wanted to meet me.”

She doesn’t deserve to work with Leo. There is no way in hell I’m letting that happen. Does she want to be love interests? Ugh just no. No. No. No.

well maybe not we haven’t exactly seen her act in a serious dramatic movie before. I guess someone should scope her up to do a strong acting role. Then we’ll see how she does and we will know if she’s ready for Leonardo or not, because right now it’s hard to tell we have nothing to base ourselves off of. :)

Honestly she will have the same carreer in movies as Hilary duff or the olsen twins: kind of people made only for kids and teens and nothing serious. Come on face it she does not have THE thing real talented actresses have. She is only made for teens movies.

That’s, well, perposterous, to be honest. But hey, dream big, I guess. First of all, DiCaprio makes very adult movies, in terms of subject matter, vibe atmosphere. Not neccessarily sex and/or violence, but very adult oriented. High-end drama. The best you can say about Selena is that she is a reasonable comedic actress. Well, DiCaprio don’t make comedies. Especially romantic comedies, which is likely to become Selena’s wheelhouse. Also, he makes more then 70 million a year. Selena makes just over 5. Selena would have to grow up and get mature real quickly before this would ever happen.

She CAN act. It makes sense if people don’t take her seriously outside of comedy though considering she hasn’t really done any roles outside of that. But she is doing one soon, 13 reasons why :) Then we can see about all this. For now, chill. She was just saying a dream of her’s, it isn’t actually going to happened. Can you blame her? Everyone loves and respects the man!
You’re taking this way to seriously and shooting her down too much for all the wrong reasons. CHILL. It isn’t coming true…
