The soon-to-be mom is so excited about becoming a parent, but she’s got other plans on her mind, too!
Hilary Duff recently announced that she’s having a son with husband Mike Comrie, and now she’s revealed what she plans to do once he arrives: Get back into the studio! Although the star is excited to stay home with the new addition, she’s also looking forward to having more time to work on other projects, according to E! Online.
“I want to get into the studio,” she said. “I want to start recording. Even if I just mess around and kind of get myself in the swing of it. Before I got pregnant, I was thinking about making a record, so I still want to do that.”
However, Hilary said the new baby is still the first priority: “I think that after I have the baby I’ll want to sit still for a few months and learn how to be a really good mom, and then there’s no reason why I can’t put a record out and tour… It might take a little while, but I’m really excited about it.”
In addition to her music and acting career, Hilary is a best-selling author, and she’s considering writing a kid’s book!
“I have like four dogs, so I have this funny story in my head about their whole dynamic together living in the same house,” she said. “I thought it would make a really cute child’s novel.”
Sounds like she’ll be busy post-pregnancy! HollyMoms, if Hilary wrote a kids’ book, would you read it?

I sneak peeked chapters of her novel and what I read was strikingly good. I read stories after a series is done. They’re on my list to read. My kiddie loves pets and I’d let her read the kid novels. Her singing career. Not a fan of Hilary’s singing. Does she mean song writing? She makes a better actress.
