Glee Recap: Puck Kisses Shelby!

Plus, Irish exchange student Rory Flanagan joins the glee club to fill the void left by Mercedes, Santana and Brittany’s defection!

Does Glee keep getting worse and worse to anyone else this season?

High school was bad, for sure, but no one gets shoved into lockers as regularly as new kid Rory Flanagan (played by The Glee Project winner Damian McGinty).

And really? Quinn (Dianna Agron) is planting hot sauce, books and botox in Shelby’s (Idina Menzel) apartment to get baby Beth taken away? Just, no.

Meanwhile, Santana (Naya Rivera) successfully schemes to get Brittany (Heather Morris) to join the other glee club with Mercedes (Amber Riley). (Long story short, Rory is staying with Brittany, she thinks he’s a leprechaun. Santana uses this to her advantage. Rory also grants Brittany the ultimate dream come true of having a bowl of marshmallow-only Lucky Charms.)

Finn (Cory Monteith) stands up for Rory against the football bullies and gets him to join New Directions — giving the group some desperately needed new blood.

As for the rest of the episode, Burt (Mike O’Malley) decides to run for Congress against she-who-shall-not-be-named. This makes this “I want to destroy the arts in schools” storyline a little bit more bearable.

And Blaine (Darren Criss) provides us with the first iPod worthy song of the season — a cover of Katy Perry‘s “Last Friday Night.”

The show finishes with Puck’s tongue (Mark Salling) in Shelby’s mouth. That won’t turn out well.

I’m not actually convinced the GLEE is getting worse. This may not be GLEE’s best but c’mon GLEE is better than any other TV Show in the US. C’mon. :D

Shelby & Puck are such a cute match!! I hope they’ll continiue the “pairing” even though there’s a lot of reactions to the student/teacher relationship…

I think the show only gets better and better as it’s less a teen show nowadays. I used to watch just because of the music, but now I actually wanna follow the characters!!!

Honestly I only watched glee for Idina Menzel. This show is so cheesy and lame but hey I’m a big Idina fan. And I love how even her husband Taye Diggs poked fun at the show this morning on twitter lol

this episode was so boring, people still watch glee because of the cast not because of the writing (the writing was awful last season) so they should focus on the original character and not about their reality show wannabe.
and dianna agron is a weak actress they should not give her so much storyline because she can do a good job with it.

I expected so much from this season and have been seriously disappointed. The character of Rachel Berry is becoming more and more cartoonish with every second she is on air, Mercedes Jones is conceited, Finn Hudson is getting annoying and whiny, what the hell happened to Tina’s goth wardrobe?!? Ugh its just so bad, so bad that I don’t want to watch the show anymore. I guess the Glee bubble has burst.

hey i love glee as much as the next person but i agree that this season especially today’s epi was really annoying. like the bullying and shoving ppl in to lockers is getting old. it is highly unlikly that there is a school that is that bad, come on ppl.

F** YOU! Glee is the best and you should learn to appreciate good music and not just commercial, broadway songs are just as good, if not better, than katy perry or lady gaga, gain some culture!
