Bachelor Brad Womack's Ex Emily Maynard Opens Children's Store

Emily is trying to a build a life for herself and her daughter Ricki, 6, outside of the spotlight after breaking up with ‘Bachelor’ Brad Womack.

Emily Maynard is trying hard to move on after months of having her life showcased in the spotlight while she was engaged to Bachelor Brad Womack, and even more so when they broke up. Now, Emily is trying to take a step away from the spotlight with her 6-year-old daughter Ricki in their hometown of Charlotte, N.C.

“I’m enjoying not having cameras in my face,” Emily tells Star magazine. “I’m thinking about opening up a children’s store in Charlotte.”

Emily feels that a children’s store would be a lucrative business in Charlotte. “There’s nowhere in Charlotte to get anything fun for kids,” she explains. “I already have a location picked out and should be ready by summer.”

Right now, Emily is content just focusing on her career, though one day she would like to meet someone. “She doesn’t love being alone, and she’d like to find a guy,” a friend of Emily’s shares.

Emily first needs to get over Brad, completely, before she can move on. “They still keep in touch and are friends,” says the friend. “She’s heard he’s dating someone else, which makes her happy for him but sad at the same time.”

“She doesn’t know” if she will ever reconcile with Brad, adds the friend. “For now, she’s happy being a single mom.”
