Was Bill too harsh on Robert’s Edward?

Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon loved working with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. During a video interview from the LA premiere on Nov. 14, Bill talks about the flashback material and calls Rob a bloodsucker. Bill also refers to Breaking Dawn Part 1 as the modern day Bride of Frankenstein. In the 1935 hit, a girl marries a monster similar to K-Stew’s character Bella Swan who marries vampire Edward Cullen, played by R-Patz.

“I wanted to see Rob as a bloodsucker,” Bill says of filming the flashback scenes. “That felt cool just to put him in that period stuff and give him red eyes.”

Bill also jokes that Edward is the “The Monster” in Twilight. “Bride of Frankenstein – best movie ever made, definitely,” he says. “Let’s face it. This is kind of the Bride of Frankenstein. It’s very close to what this movie is.”

“I love the fact that people would pass out when they saw Frankenstein originally, it was so intense,” Bill continues. “I love the fact that we have an audience that’s screaming their heads off sitting right next to a vampire. The pun in that is kind of good.”

Bill also dishes on his favorite scenes from Breaking Dawn. “Kristen Stewart giving birth and playing dead, that was so intense to shoot,” he admits. “That was incredible.”

Hi Robert! El Salvador, you played just WOW!!! I weodnr what role was given more difficult Salvador Dali, Edward Cullen and Tyler (what feelings more difficult to play: same-sex love, mythical or terrestrial)? Thank you.P.S. I think that Hollywood Life totally took everything out of context. it seems he meant he wanted to see rob as edward playing edward as this bloodsucking monster not that rob was a bloodsucking monster. I have high doubts that he meant it like that as a negative comment towards rob and more as a joke. i doubt bill would say anything to erk rob or anyone or say anything against them. I think this entire article was taken out of context and HL made it seem like Bill was verbally attacking rob when in fact he was making a joke. I agree that rob is not a monster and everything they say or do is totally taken out of context so they always come up as offensive and rude. Rob is not a monster and Bill wasn’t attacking rob he was making a joke, he didn’t mean it offensively
