Rihanna reportedly called and texted Katy all throughout New Year’s weekend and is even taking her away on a trip to help cheer her up. But a new report claims Rihanna is one of the reasons for the divorce — find out why!
Katy Perry can definitely count on her best friend Rihanna. A new report in the UK’s The Sun claims Katy called Rihanna the moment news of the divorce from Russell Brand broke. HollywoodLife.com told you that although Katy appeared to be in good spirits on New Year’s Eve, that Katy is “devastated.”
“Katy is hardly speaking to anyone right now,” a source tells The Sun. “But she called Rihanna as soon as she heard Russell was filing for divorce. When Katy told her the news, she suggested flying down to Barbados to stay with her and her family.”
Rihanna planned Katy’s sexed-up bachelorette party before her 2010 wedding in India to Russell.
“Katy was embarrassed about calling her parents as they’d been so against Russell in the first place,” the source continues. “But Rihanna was a great support for her and she really helped to calm her down.”
We told you one of the reasons for the couple’s split was that Russell wasn’t comfortable with Katy’s hard partying lifestyle since he’s a recovering heroin and sex addict and the source goes on to claim that Russell didn’t like Katy hanging out with Rihanna.
“Rihanna has been there for Katy, texting her from Miami where she’s on holiday,” the source says. “Now they are planning a girly getaway so Katy can clear her head.”

Russell can’t stop her from being friends with Rihanna. And always put your friends before any guy because when that guy wants to leave u your friend will be there for u unless u choose the guy over your friend. It’s a blessing to even have a True Friend.Rihanna is a pisces and she’s Loyal by nature inspite of her going through her own daily struggles within herself and being expose to so many negative things.God put rihanna and katy perry in each other life for this moment and many more.Everyone needs a friend to be there for them especially when you’re going through a mental and emotional phase in life.Russell is a Gemini very self centered and jealous he’s been plotting this on poor katy just so he can come out as the lead player.My love goes out to them both Katy and Rihanna.

Misery loves company, and even though it is nice to have friends to talk to in times of stress, there is a fine line between allowing them to have too much influence. The best communication between couples is for the couples to talk among themselves devoid of the influence of family and friends. It takes becoming mature in the nature of relationships to figure this one out. I think Russell is extremely admirable in staying clean, and I have a feeling his choice to not tolerate Katy’s escapes into the party scene of the music biz, are actually a healthy choice he is making for himself. Katy should have known given his past addictions issues like this would have reared their head, and they should have had a plan to deal with it.

emm whn tht incident u referrin 2 happened rihanna didn’t even talked to any of her friends 4 many time as she said on an interview she didnt talked abt it not even with her own family so … i guess the 2 girls r different but rihanna’s got nothin 2 do with tht i mean she’s been on tour concerts n recordin videos n all tht stuff this year tht she didnt even attended so many music events n was partyin by her own ^^ not even with katty perry plus her real bst friend is melisa remember?
