Selena Gomez shared an Instagram photo of Justin Bieber grinning ear to ear as he drove — and now we know the reason he was so happy!

It hasn’t been an easy holiday season for Selena Gomez. After losing her unborn sister, the 19-year-old starlet disappeared for awhile. However, since the new year began, she’s been sharing positive photos — including this adorable one of her boyfriend Justin Bieber driving down the street with a big smile on his face.

“This smile is because of Carly Rae Jepsen.. We have not stopped listening your song girl!” Selena wrote on Instagram next to the photo.

Carly Rae is a 26-year-old Canadian singer who got her start on Canadian Idol in 2007. Her most recent single, “Call Me Maybe,” has a pop sound that reminds us of a Selena song. Between her Canadian roots and pop sound, it’s no wonder she has Justin and Selena’s stamp of approval.

After getting so much support from the A-list pop stars, Carly Rae wrote, “Can’t describe how flattered I am. Thank you @selenagomez and @justinbieber for the love. Xo.”
