Most of the episode was pretty boring, until the very end when someone special showed up at Meredith and Derek’s door!

The winter finale of Grey’s Anatomy left off with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Alex (Justin Chambers) on a deserted mountain road after a car accident. Meanwhile, Teddy (Kim Raver) didn’t know that her husband Henry (Scott Foley) had died on Cristina’s (Sandra Oh) operating table. But even though we were left with a promising cliff-hanger, nothing really happened tonight until the end!

And the big surprise? Meredith and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) got baby Zola back at the end.

(Was it just me or did anyone else think Izzy or the ghost of George was standing at the door before finding out that it was the mean social worker with Zola?)

Otherwise, Cristina told Teddy that Henry died, Lexie (Chyler Leigh) got jealous of Mark’s (Eric Dane) girlfriend, Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Ben got closer, and there were lessons learned by the rest of the characters on the show.
