Sarah Gadon was pleased to learn R-Patz is just a nice guy, even though he’s one of the most famous celebrities in the world
Before Sarah Gadon starred alongside Robert Pattinson in Cosmopolis, the 24-year-old actress went out of her way to make sure she did’t feed into the Twilight hysteria that surrounds him everywhere he goes. After all, she didn’t want to act starstruck the first time she met her co-worker!
“My decision not to read any of Robert’s interviews or press [stemmed from] my desire to go into the project without an preconceived notions [about him] that might inform our work together,” Sarah told PULP Magazine recently.
Much to Sarah’s surprise, Rob was actually “refreshingly normal” and “deeply concerned about the development of his career.”
(Of course, we’re not shocked by this news. Rob has always seemed down to earth and super humble. It’s just nice hearing confirmation from those close to him!)
She added, “It was wonderful to watch Robert in such an intelligent project, and for [director David Cronenberg], [Robert's fan base] will open up a younger demographic.”
We’re practically chomping at the bit to see Rob’s performance in Cosmopolis, which will come out sometime in the next year. Are you excited to see Rob in another role outside of Edward Cullen?

I’m thinking of sending Colin Farrell a thank you gift for stepping out of Cosmopolis. Casting Pattinson was inspired thinking by Cronenberg and I cannot wait to see this film.
Robert is an exceptional actor, with a good head on his shoulders and a genuine desire to grow and take on quality roles. He has nothing to be ashamed about re Twilight.
From that beginning, all else will follow.
