Hollywood insiders are claiming that several stars received emails from their agents ‘warning’ them that by taking the stage at the Golden Globes, it could ruin their chances of presenting at the Oscars on Feb. 26!
It’s an award season battle! A new report in Page Six claims Jennifer Lopez along with other celebrities, turned down the opportunity to present an award at the 69th Annual Golden Globes on Jan. 15 because they feared they wouldn’t be able to take the Oscar stage!
“There have been complaints about this from the studios and the agencies,” a source revealed. “The Globes lost Jennifer Lopez as a presenter, but many other stars took the view that they don’t want to be told what to do.”
A spokesperson for the Globes didn’t exactly deny it. “The Globes are always the most hotly anticipated show of the awards season and the party of the year. As always, the room was the most glamorous in town, packed full of the industry’s biggest and brightest stars.”
But Academy President Tom Sherak said, “The academy has always placed a premium on exclusivity, but, ultimately, each individual makes his or her own decisions.”
Sounds so high school but we totally love it! Despite these fears, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Johnny Depp and Nicole Kidman presented Globes.

To be quite honest I did not miss Jennifer Lopez at the Globes at all. I mean she can’t act and she’s annoying. It is unbelievable how we make stars out of people with no talent.
