Claire Danes’ Hair Color Is ‘Modern Take On Hollywood Glamour’
Are you coveting Claire’s gorgeous blonde hair from the 2012 Golden Globes? Her colorist explains his inspiration for the look.
Steve Amendola, colorist at the Serge Normant at John Frieda Salon in New York colored Claire Danes‘ hair for the Golden Globes. According to Steve, his inspiration came from stunning old Hollywood star Grace Kelly!
“My inspiration for Claire’s hair color was Grace Kelly. When looking at early photos, I was struck by how similar the color was on Miss Kelly and that of Claire,” explains Steve. ”Of course a more updated and modern version of this was my intention.”
What should you tell your own colorist if you’d like to copy Claire’s look?
“Claire’s natural color was gently lifted to produce a color that acts as “back-lighting” for her blond highlights,” says Steve. “The highlights are strategically placed around her face and off of her part to create maximum reflection and also allow the base color to shine through. The finished product is a modern take on hollywood glamour.”
