Katy Perry’s Celebrity Colorist Explains Her New Blue Hair

Katy Perry has had every hair color under the sun — she even dabbled in blue before for the premiere of The Smurfs! Katy’s celebrity colorist, Rita Hazan, tells you why Katy left her blonde locks in the dust and what it’s like working with the star.
The blue hue was definitely in the works, not a spure of the moment decision.
“Katy wanted to go this particular color blue for a few weeks now,” Rita explains. “The blonde was not an interim color – she wanted to be blonde at the time but knew it wouldn’t be permanent, just another Katy Perry look!”
Rita is a pro at altering Katy’s ever-changing hair color at this point.
“It didn’t take long to transition to this color as we have been working together previously,” says Rita. “We have a great relationship – Katy is the ideal client because she loves to be creative and unpredictable with her look which is a fun challenge for me, so we work very well together.”
It sounds like Katy is a lot of fun to work with!
