Former ‘Bachelorette’ winner Jesse Csincsak tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Shawntel really did have true feelings for Ben.

Former Bachelor contestant Shawntel Newton from Brad Womack‘s season made a surprising visit to the set of Ben Flajnik‘s season to try her chances at winning his love. Jesse Csincsak, who won Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas‘ final rose, tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Shawntel’s actions did come from her heart — but the producers may have had a hand in planning the logistics of her visit.

“Obviously they know she was coming, that’s why the edit of the show had an hour left when we just got to the rose ceremony,” Jesse reveals to us. “However I think her visit was sincere.”

Shawntel had feelings for Ben. “I think she did,” says Jesse. “I know Ben had dated a couple of ex-Bachelor girls before becoming The Bachelor.”

And Shawntel made the right decision to surprise Ben on set. “Lets weigh the facts: she just published a book, she was probably offered money to come back on and she wanted to get Ben back,” Jesse explains. “She had nothing to lose. She got to get her face out there to push her book, put a few thousand in her pocket and a chance at Ben. It was a win-win for her.

“She has class and isn’t afraid of rejection,” adds Jesse. “That’s awesome.”

As to the fact that Ben didn’t hand out his last rose of that episode — that may have been planned by production. “He already has his final four picked out and production is playing chess with the rest,” shares Jesse.
