In a new interview, Catherine Hardwicke reveals the REAL reason Rob had to pop a Xanax before his ‘Twilight’ audition.
We’ve heard this before, but honestly, we never get tired of hearing it: Robert Pattinson has always been in love with Kristen Stewart! “He was nervous,” Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke recalls during a chat with Young Hollywood at Sundance. “I know he really liked Kristen. I think he [had always had a crush.]”
Catherine says she invited Rob to audition at her house to help calm his nerves, and believe it or not, no one expected the movie to blow up into a global phenomenon.
“The weekend before it opened, they were telling me, ‘Maybe it’s only 400 girls in Salt Lake City… texting,’” Catherine says.
Well, that was a slight underestimate.

I think Kristin also had a crush on Robert the very first time she meet him.They had chemistry together and they both know it. The 2 of them are really good together its’like this movie is made for them. Twilight became global because they pick the right peole to play it.

I absolutly love edward and bella together they are both gorgeous nothing could make me more happy then seeing them (meeting them is on my bucket list) the twilight saga is my all time fav movies they should get married if there commited to it they will so be the next jay and bee!

Well, it’s well known that Rob saw Kristen in ‘Into the Wild” before he met her and developed a crush. In the NBC morning show, when the interviewer asked him if he still had a crush on Kristen, he said,”isn’t it obvious?”. He also stated that Kristen was the only reason he wanted to do Twilight, that she brought something out of him that he doesn’t even understand, and that you can fall in love with someone very quickly. Sooo..I really don’t think that this HL post is all that quixotic, but rather plausible.

“Chatty Cathy” did not bring up Rob/Kris or Twilight, the interviewer did. The interviewer expounded more than CH. Give the lady a break. She will be hounded about that topic for the rest of her life. I am sure she is tired of it, but she stays polite. (More than I can say for some of you…ahem Sarah…..)

Honestly, people, who’s to say what someone is capable of feeling? Everyone is different, so why can’t it be possible to fall a bit in love with someone from the start? When someone’s heart knows, they know. That’s it. And seeing as how Catherine Hardwicke was there to witness their interactions and spent months with them, she’d have a very solid basis for her thoughts. We don’t. Accept it.

Ok let’s add this: Catherine made Rob swore on to a mountain of 100 million bibles not to touch, love, and do whatever to Kristen!.LOL!, because Kristen was only 17 years old when they started Twilight. So their chemistry must have been very strong even off set_playfully biting each others ears and neck and that must have prompted Catherine to launch her campaign of “no sex before 18″…to Rob! LOL!

You are right. Catherine wanted someone else for the part. But after witnessing their chemistry there is no way she would have pick someone else. And Kristen was dating someone else at the time. So you can say there must have been electricity in that room for sure. And to make sure that she tell Rob here in the US no sex with minors. This bedroom was steaming for sure lol.

Oh, please. You guys must be really desperate the write such silly tripe. Not to comment on Rob’s relationship with Kristen now, not to say he wasn’t a fan when he first met her, was attracted to her, a crush, okay fine. But in love with her? Really? What is he, twelve? How can you be in love with someone you’ve never met? He’d never met Kristen. And why wouldn’t he have been nervous, it was an addition, after all. Come on, you can do better than this. I realize Rob’s been absent lately, which is inconsiderate of him as it leaves you people with little material, but this is so silly it made me laugh. Guess that’s okay though, if that was your intent, a laugh is always a good thing.

Oh my, I really upset you. Not my intent at all so calm down. But I seriously doubt Rob was “in love” with Kristen before he met her. You cannot be in love with someone you don’t know unless you are delusional, and I give Rob a lot more credit than that. Infatuated? Sure. A crush? Okay. But love? Unh-uh.

I did not say Rob was 12, only that a 12 year old would love someone without knowing them. And I know enough about love to know that you cannot love an image, the way you love a real person. You and Starry are unnecessarily nasty, simply because my opinion differs from yours. Katherine said Rob really liked Kristen, which makes sense, and maybe he was in ‘lust’ at first sight, but HL said he was ‘always’ in love with her. I’m just saying, though it sounds very romantic, it isn’t very realistic. But what really blows me away is your anger. Ever heard of the word tolerance? We do have freedom of speech after all.
