With ‘The Hunger Games’ premiere right around the corner, Josh Hutcherson admits he could use a little input from the ‘Twilight’ guys when it comes to worldwide hysteria!

Josh Hutcherson is bracing for what is about to be the biggest culture shock of his life — international fame! As the lead in the widely anticipated The Hunger Games film, the 19-year-old actor says he could use some pointers from the guys who’ve lived it all before him — Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

“I would love to [talk to them]. Because if The Hunger Games is anywhere near as successful as Twilight, I’d love to get some advice on [how to deal with it],” Josh told PopSugar at a Journey 2: The Mysterious Island junket.

We have a feeling The Hunger Games is going to be a pretty darn big deal when it hits theaters March 23, so he might want to hit up Rob and Taylor ASAP.

Do YOU think The Hunger Games will reach Twilight‘s level?

Right. Rob & Kristen weren’t well known before Twilight. It was their on screen chemistry that got a lot of fans hooked. I’ have read the books (not bad) but there isn’t any chemistry between any of the HG actors. Jennifer Lawrence is a great actress, don’t get me wrong, but to say that HG is going to blow up like Twilight is crazy. It doesn’t have the fan base. You know, all those girls? As crazy as they are, the girls spend money. They want a romance. Which HG doesn’t really have. It’s similar to the romances in Harry Potter- set in the background. Not the main focus

Peace and prayers to them all..Karen E

Relllleeeee, Josh?!! Counting the chicks already?! Has fans camped out at THG shooting locations, or were you being chased by pesky papps wherever you go after shooting the first installment? Well, if not, dont presume too much, because those things are always the telltale signs that THG and you have snagged a large, large fan base, worlwide. Well, goodluck with your unhatch fame..

Thank you! That’s exactly what I mean. They don’t have the fan base that HP and Twilight has. Sure it will grow if the movie does good, but it doesn’t have Twilight’s appeal. Your not going to see a group of boys seeing this together. But you always see huge groups of girls waiting for twilght.

Twilight is insane. What makes twilight attracted is the love story between Bella and Edward. I love Twilight. I don’t know if The Hunger games will be any better.

I love Hunger Games and Twilight, in two different ways, because they’re about two different stories. Stop comparing. Live in peace.

That’s a little presumptuous isn’t it? Sure the hunger games has a great LITTLE following but Twilight is a phenomenon. The Twilight series has sold over 150 MILLION copies…. compared to hunger games’ 15million. Ha

pssh i hate all these comparisons between hunger games and twilight they are nothing alike i don’t see why people compare them its like their is nothing that similar and the team peeta team gale you obviously didn’t read all of the books to know why team gale is improbable i don’t think it will be as big as twilight by the i am a fan of the first 3 breaking dawn lost my attention when i read the book because there was all this build up and then it was like ooh it was all a misunderstanding no big battle like we thought there was going to be for like the whole last half of the book wth any way back to hunger games i think it won’t be as big as twilight it won’t have crazy fans that them to bite them but i think it will be as big as harry potter there is a pretty big fan base and it is a good book series

The answer is still NOPE, NADA. Though the THG is a hit for sure, but it wont create the hysteria like the Twilight has created. What was one of the reasons why Lionsgate has to acquire Summit before the first THG hits theaters worlwide? Summit’s expertise on offshore marketing., thinking that Summit can create a miracle and make THG ala-Twilight. Well, goodluck for that, however to my opinion it takes a perfect formula to create such a sensation like the Twilight saga which hit all the right points and created a formidable fanbase and became a worlwide phenomenon. The story of Romeo and Juliet taken toanother level, warewolves and vampires and of course Robsten the lead characters who fell in love in real life. The Twilight saga is the ultimate love story that can take you away from the reality of everyday life. Escapism is its ultimate gift to viewers.

How about the bow with special powers that only gets told to go to sleep and the very predictable murder of Coin? Mockingjay really upset me at the end. I feel like Collins just wanted to end it and did it the shortest way possible… Very disappointed!

Agreed. I think that THG actors are counting their chickens before their eggs hatch. THG will be popular, but no way will they get to Twilight’s fame level/popularity or box office results. One of the major draws in Twilight is Rob/Kristen/Taylor and their characters love stories. THG has action but not much else. Twilight got $69million opening weekend and $392million total gross domestic. There is no way that THG is gonna beat that

before twilight no one really knew of robert/kristen/taylor they weren’t big actors the only thing i knew robert from was being cedic in harry potter and i didn’t really know about kristen and robert so that theory doesn’t really work for the first movie. Secondly i am curious did you actually read the hunger games book or just see the trailer because if you read the books you would also know that it has action romance and other things what i would call a slice of life kinda of thing and hunger games may be as popular as twilight and i don’t think they are counting their chickens because in most of the interviews the interviewer asks them about this being as big as twilight
