An attempted kidnapping caught on camera! A man tried to kidnap a little girl at a Walmart supermarket in west Georgia on Feb. 8, but luckily, she screamed and kicked her way out of his arms.
Brittney Baxter, 7, was looking at toys when a man allegedly walked up and began talking to her, reports the Daily Mail.
Before she knew it, the man grabbed her and slapped his hand over her mouth to muffle her cries, but Brittney managed to scream and kick her way out of his arms.
“I was just trying to do like this, and kick as hard as I can,” she said in an interview with wsbtv. “I was freaking out at that point. I just couldn’t believe it.”
Brittney’s mom, Georgeann Baxter, was in a neighboring aisle when the attempted kidnapping occurred.
The alleged abductor was chased down by police officers was identified as 25-year-old Thomas Woods, who was already on parole for a voluntary manslaughter charge. He denied being at the Walmart.

Wow!! Some of y’all “adults” should try acting like it! Instead of focusing on what a dumb parent try focusing on the monster who tried to attack a 7 yr old child!! It could have been ur child in ur own front yard … The mother should have been able to let her child go two aisle over and not worry bout anything just the same as parents should be able to send their children to school on a school bus or take them to church and not worry about a predator … Things happen grow up and be thankful the CHILD is ok and the MONSTER was caught!!!!!!!!

i mean if your like one or two alsie away its not a big deal
but if your too far away so that u cant hear your child then its a big deal every parent has there own veiws on things when i was young i was allowed to go look at toys and loved it i hated shopping with my mom. But as for my son no he will never be out of my sight. nowadays with all these crazy people. i dont trust anyone when it comes to my child and thats how everyone should be. But in this case lets just be thankful that we didnt have to hear or see a missing kids report. GOOD JOB SWEETIE YOU DID THAT RIGHT THING BY FIGHTING BACK.

Why are people calling this mom dumb? I have 3 kids 7 – 12 andI have left them to go the next isle over in the toy store. Things like this happen, but it is a very rare. I teach my kids about strangers and what to do i they are ever approached or grabbed by a stranger. I think it is best to arm our kids with knowledge about what to do. THis little girl did the right thing to kick and get away from this monster. It is obvious some taught her what to do.

Well i wouldnt think that u wouldnt let your kid off by theirselves and it is not rare these things happen every day u hear them on the news all the time the mom should be ashamed of leaving her child alone in and ile while she was all the way on the other side of the store rediculise

If you would learn to spell maybe others wouldn’t think all people in the south are dumb. There are dumb, lazy mothers everywhere. Generalizations do not help. The oldest public university in the U. S. is in Athens, Ga.
