There are dark lips, and then there are dark lips inspired by vampire bats. Yes, he went there!
At the Christian Siriano fall 2012 fashion show, MAC cosmetics lead makeup artist Polly Osmond explains that the pointed, dark lip look was supposed to appear similar to the wings of a vampire bat. Find out what products complete the lip look!
Other than what Polly calls the “dark, creepy” lips, the face is void of mascara, eyebrow pencil or eyeliner. A bit of blush and the lip shades are all it takes to turn these models into 1930′s vampire bats.
Polly first used MAC Lip Pencil in Nightmoth, followed by MAC Lipstick in Media. A touch of gloss is applied to the lips just before the models walk down the runway, and the look is complete!
The shape of the lips is very structured and a tiny point underneath the bottom lip really makes this look resemble the shape of a bat’s wings.
