A surprisingly high percentage of young men and women believe they can’t get pregnant! The unlikely conclusion is causing men to ditch their protection and leaving women open to becoming the next star of ‘Teen Mom.’
A new study by John Hopkins University researchers shows 19 percent of women and 13 percent of men between the ages of 18-29 believe they’re infertile, Babble reports. This perception of infertility is leading more men to “anticipate having unprotected sex in the next three months.”
With multiple spin-offs of MTV’s Teen Mom and 16 And Pregnant, we still see young people need schooling on the facts of fertility and contraception.
Just thinking you’re infertile is certainly not a suitable form of birth control, teens! What do YOU think of this study, HollyMoms?
