Nicki showed up to the 54th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 12 in a red-hooded ensemble with a fake Bishop on her arm — did you find it offensive?
Nicki Minaj is known for pushing the limits of fashion and music and on the red carpet of the Grammys she did it again! The 29-year-old rapper stepped out of her black SUV at the Staples Center wearing a red satin cloak and you could only see her gorgeous face and platinum blonde hair with a special guest on her arm.
The most shocking part of the ensemble was her date — a fake Catholic bishop!
The singer is nominated for “Best New Artist” and “Best Rap Album” for Pink Friday.

Loved the wow factor!! Great performer and delivers exactly what we want to hear, that is why she’s up there. We have created her and she is fantastic!! She didn’t disrespect religion, its obviously just her costume. Disrespect would have been doing bad stuff with her costume, and she OBVIOUSLY didn’t do anything bad. Who better, than Nicki, to put on a show <3

She should not be allowed to walk the red carpet or attend the awards.

Despicable display of utter disrespect. I’d never do that to anyone’s faith. Of course her lack there of is not excuse for very bad taste and lack of any sense of common decency! Sadly not very shocking though. She’s trash as much as half the performers that attend! She just wanted that shock factor. Well she got it, and I hope it wasn’t what she expected. But with such disrespect usually comes extreme ignorance so she probably won’t get it.

I have never been more affended. If this was a Jewish, Bhudist, Muslim, or whomever race, creed or color attack; this world…well…I’m just very sad about it. I love and thank you Jesus. I still struggle to understand how He loves us so much and we continue to inflict PAIN on Him. For different sins, me included. Please forgive us Father.

Nicki Minaj was completely offensive–not just to Catholics but to anyone who respects religion. I cannot believe CBS let that air.

We can only hope. Not like she was such a great singer anyway. Sounded almost as trashy as she acts.

Completely talentless. I could barely hear her rapping while I watched the most offensive act. How was this even allowed to air? I am beginning to understand why this generation is losing its morals and values…

Found Nicki Minaj’s production offensive. If you have to mock a religious belief to make music, your talent and mind must be very small. With the thousands of topics to comment on in your music, you only found religion to abuse on stage.
Shame on you, shame on the Grammy Award Show for presenting such poisonous trash to the public. So many artists, so much talent and you allow your show to include such a mockery. Freedom of speech comes with responsibility and consequences.

Why do you not join Tasteless and take on the decades of child abuse in HELLY-wood. Then have the courage to do what the catholic bishops did, they reported on all abuse for the past fifty years. Next work on the public schools for just the past ten years in any State of the union for CURRENT abuse. your comment is as sick as Ms Tasteless’ effort to get some attention and inflate her low-self esteem. That is what small-minded people do- insult what seems to be an easy target for “laughs.”
I meant BOORISH in my comment above not booring above.

Actually, I find most religions to be quite the joke. They are all pretty comedic in their own, not to mention hypocritical with all of the comments on here claiming it is disrespectful to mock religion, when disrespect towards the atheist community is what most sectarian beliefs encourage and accept. Shame on you all.

If you dont like religon then just leave it alone, but mocking it is the childish thing by far.

Just because shes black or even if shes not doesnt mean she cant comment on it saying shes making black people look bad, at least she sees it and speaks the truth insted of taking up for her like others do just bc their the same color. Race shouldnt matter, and its stupid people that it matters to anyway. People are always trying to make it about race, but truth is wheather nicki was white or black, what she did was trashy and rude.
