Tim Burton’s latest movie proves vampires don’t always need to be sparkly or sexy. Sometimes they can just be awesome.

We all know Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery and had an epic beard, but did you know he also battled the undead? That’s the lesson to be learned in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, coming to theaters June 22, and now we have our first look at the Tim Burton-produced film.

Based on the novel by Seth Grahame-Smith, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter tells the twisted tale of Lincoln’s (Benjamin Walker) double life as an axe-wielding fang fighter. (Move over, Buffy!)
